  • Oh my, and they are doing this in our best interest? can you imagine the floods of messages they are getting right now? lol. I'm just playing with the menu above this text box. NOt ttrying to shout or anything. I guess we will get used to it, just hope everyone makes it to check in with us. I hope Gayla is doing alright.
Our boss is having hip replacement surgery today. He is in Florida. He has had a lot of health issues and I hope this one gets him up and around. A few months ago, he fell in the airport.

It's a beautiful day here, I think I will attempt to start using my fitbit. for me, it will be a challenge.

I'm glad wee still have the birthday thread.

    take care,

    Phoebe

There are so good new features but I couldn't find my posts on Senior Golden Sneakers or the other group I belong to.

the good thing is that you can put a photo in your post without going to Photo Bucket or Flickr

My little grand daughter as of the summer. She had some cold sores on her chin that have since been healed. She is a happy little girl. Oh and the quilt that I attached was all crossed stitched. I was happy that I got it all finished and it will bring back many good memories of spending time with my mom all summer in the hospital. I am glad that this new format has a way to post photos right here. You will probably get sick of seeing photos from me.I was also happy to find the group again.

Happy Thursday!! :) I think it will take some time to get used to this new format, I used to be able to edit all of the posts but I don't think I can do that any longer. Oh well, they say change is good and we are smart seniors.
I have my meeting today, then two more purchases to finish decorating my new home. I would like a sit down bench with storage by my door and I little table by my comfy chair. Once done I will again post a picture with my Halloween decorations. For some reason this year I decorated and it looks so nice.
I won at bingo last night, a bingo game worth $115 and a pull tab worth $150. Life is good.

Babe's son went to the ER yesterday on the advice of his doctor. He had two bags of fluids and numerous tests with all coming back good except they said his insides were all inflamed. Supposedly they are worried about cancer and want him to have biopsies but his son tends to exaggerate his health issues at times. He didn't tell his wife, why I don't know. Babe of course is upset but I don't feel anything. I will pray for him but that is about all I can do.

So Marie, you used glitter graphics like from the old format right? There is no special button for glitter graphics is there? Pictures from my files are easy but still have to open another window to use glitter graphics correct?

Time to get moving, enjoy your day.

    Sandy

Hello friends - I am home and in the midst of sorting out again! Doing laundry right now and then on to the paperwork. I was able to get all my personal paperwork updated yesterday with my attorney---health care POA, durable POA (or whatever it's called now), and Will are all up to date. That's a relief, now to make some copies, contact the people named in the POAs and get info to them.

No time right no to try to get up to speed on these changes at MFP. Will tackle it as I get time. Happy to have found you and I've *starred* the two threads I read regularly.

Hope to get to a women's program early this evening so guess I'd best keep moving.

    Hugs to all.

    Lin

Going to try to add a Glitter Graphic

So I guess whichever topic you reply to that is bookmarked goes on top. Edited the birthday list and it came on top unless that is only on my page. Anyway tomorrow is Jake's birthday (Barbie's husband) for those of you who don't see it.

Goodness me, I thought for a minute or two I'd lost you all but wasn't going to give up that easily. No time to read posts now but will get back this evening, hopefully with less hassle to find my sneakers friends.

  • well, we are getting the hang of it!! I was going to try posting a photo, but when I browsed this new laptop of mine, I found that I don't have any!! :p I have them stored on my portable hard drive now. So I will play a bit with glitter graphics in another post.

The photos are all so good. Phyllis, love your talent, cross stitching is a great and lasting art. I think it is a calming influence too. Not that I have the knack of it, my brother in law is very talented though. I should photograph the two cross stitched framed pieces he did for us. He made one for each of his brothers, sisters and spouses. Every one of them won ribbons at the local fair. Now, he has put it aside because he is too busy raising his son.

Day one of wearing my fitbit. I didn't tap it correctly to record my sleep last night. So I will try that again tonight. I also discovered it won't sync with my tablet's version. Right now is not a good time to buy a new tablet for me. When this tablet stops working, I will decide if I want to get another one. I may just get a new smartphone. It did sync easily with my laptop.

Marie, what are your plans for the day? I am probably going to Wal Mart for a prescription, and to pick up a few things. Jim is craving a hamburger steak. He is not 100% well. I assumed he would be ready to return to work tomorrow, but he is not. That is a surprise to me, but it also tells me he really does not feel up to it. He has an appointment on Monday with his regular doctor to discuss the symptoms. His appetite is very strange right now. One minute he feels hungry, but he only eats a little then loses his appetite. He surprised himself when he weighed yesterday, and I admit it surprised me too, but I didn't let him know. He has lost about 20 or so pounds rather fast.
He also has his nasty coughing problem again. He coughs so much that he gets sick. (hurls) Last year it was controlled by Mucinex DM. So I'll get him back on the cough meds too.

Sandy, so glad to see little :o Robbie smiling at his sweet grandmother.

Hi Buzz, Hi Jackie, Be safe, Lin

hey all of you Canadian happy thanksgiving Monday. Don't eat too much gayla I know you will be cooking a big me. Shirley you have a great one too wherever you might be.
To the rest of us we got a way to go.yet.

My day/ Had a Kroger diet shake for breakfast For lunch will have my left over cauliflower soup and tea.
Dinner will be hamburger steak and green beans + a salad

went to the doctor this morning all blood work was fine. Don't go back till January of 2015 Yeah

Phoebe Glad to here the update on Jim. 2o lbs. lost the hard way.
Got my wheel chair running. Found some one about 5 miles from us that repair the motor wheelchair There was a wire under neat it that jerry could not see and my son in law did not fine and he is pretty smart about things like that for he built a motor cycle from scratch .By himself.

Now I do not want to go to that Pumpkin feasible In fact I do not want to keep my wheel chair to get around . Going to try to sell it and get me a regular chair wheel for my house is just too small to get around in it. I can still walk about 50 feet before my hip and back become unbearable I just cannot stand and cook and work in the kitchen very long. But Jerry help me out there.

I try to seen Chris a message to tell her about this big change But do know if it went thru.

    Love and hugs
    Marie
