Question about Ketostix
Ok, so I know there is a lot of debate over the usefulness of ketostix, but they are currently the only thing I have to test whether or not I'm in ketosis.
For the last 2 weeks my diet has been really good, but I can't seem to test any more than the 'small' amount on the ketostix. Its driving me nuts!! I've been doing keto for ~2 months but I've really buckled down in the last month or so and in the past was able to get to the darker portions on the stix. Now, it just seems impossible! Even doing an egg fast didn't do it for me this time.
So, I've never understood if you stop getting positives on the sticks once you are 'keto adapted' or have reached nutritional ketosis. Is this true? Could it be that I can't test positive because I'm keto adapted?
For the record, the ketonix breathalyzer thingy is on my Xmas wish list!
