Seven Day Water Challenge

I am not drinking ANY water!! I know this is a terrible thing. I know I need to drink more water. SOME water. I know it will help me with my weight loss goals. I know this sugar free crap I put in my carbonated water is probably poison.
But I also know that if I MAKE myself drink water for a few days, I will start to love it again.
Anyone in this boat?
I am starting a challenge on Monday Dec 8th. It is my own thing - I will drink 64oz of water spread out throughout the day. I'm going to do it for 7 days and see how I feel about water after that week.
You can join me on Dec 8th or start on whatever day you want. Post your reflections on your timeline or here. or both! I am excited because this is something I have avoided for months. Thank GOODNESS for this community and accountability!!!

Thank you Carol! You have no idea how much I need to do this too. About the only time I like drinking water is after a hard workout or a hot, sweaty day working in the yard. Outside of that, blech! I'm in!0

Yay!!! I have NO desire & I know that is just AWEFUL. Been over 3 months that I've been avoiding it. Even longer since I was drinking water regularly.

Woop! Woop! We have to keep remembering how great we felt when we did it before. Also great for the skin. My aging skin needs it! Also, think of the great quads we'll be working from doing all the squatting in the latrine. At least I know I will with my bladder. Hello sleepless nights:) We got this!0

Here's a bit of a bio hack I got from Ben Greenfield's podcast. I tried the Peppermint oil and not only does it add a shakeup to the taste, but the metabolic effects seem to be there as well. Feels like a shot of brain fuel. Works good in coffee as well.0

LOL! A friend just so happened to have bought me "pee pee pads" for my last birthday. Time to pull them out! Nice friend, huh? I have already had 16 ounces. BAM! The flood gates have opened...0

Have you guys tried any flavored sparkling waters? I love Klarbrunn brand (but think it's local). LaCroix and Seagrams are national brands. Target has some flavors in 20oz plastic too. I gave up soda several years ago and drink sparkling water /soda water now. Just the plain or slight flavored ones. Not the sweetened ones.
It's another way to get in the water if you don't like plain.0 -
I forget who said this (maybe Relentless Roger?) but I drink 20 ounces within 20 minutes of getting up. 20 in 20. Of course, the same person also said 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes after that, and I don't quite get that in within the 30 minutes.
Anyway, 20 ounces right away gets you a third of the way! I'm already there.0 -
I haven't been drinking enough water either... so I'm in!
Cynthia - I also drink water first thing in the morning. Usually between 24 to 36 oz within 10 minutes of getting up. I rarely count that as my daily water because I figure that is just replenishing what I lost during the night. It's the rest of the day that I don't get enough in.0 -
I'll jump on this. Mark Divine from SealFit says, "drink water like it's your damn job!" I'll try not to get fired...0

Congrats Stacy. I am at 10 and still have my two to go before dinner. Discovered the trick for me is to start my day with it. Was working a wicked headache at one point today, but realized it was because I hadn't had any caffeine since this mornings cup of coffee. A hit of Diet Coke and I was all good:)0
