Ok so anybody like me? I'm 46 and got to get 30 lbs off. Sick and tired of being sick in tired. Have done it before but not as easy as it use to be. I'm committed to get it off before summer. I need a few buddy's for support though . Anyone in with me?

I'm 49 and have 30 pounds to lose as well. It's definitely harder as I get older and I want something I can stick with... a life change before I hit 50!! Add me if you want to help each other.0

Feel free to add me. I am 44 and I needed to lose 30lbs and did it. Albeit I am sure a few pounds were added over the holidays. I started last January and was able to shed 30 lbs by mid July. I tracked everything I ate and bought myself a food scale (which is now my best friend). I am always here for support and advice when needed. You can do this...trust me if I can do it...so can you! Happy New Year!0

I'm 43 and have about 30 pounds to lose. Such a struggle!! I managed to keep off 35 pounds for 3 years up until the past 3 months where my eating habits sucked, I barely worked out and ended up gaining about 14 pounds back. So disappointed in myself. I'm a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding in June and need to drop some weight!! Let's do this!0

Let's go! I'm 49 and a few years ago I had the opportunity to train with an NFL trainer, and at age 46 I was even asked by a stranger which team I played for. Life got in the way (had to stop to take care of dying parents and then get myself back on my feet), but now I am ready to do this again. 30 pounds and my muscle back and I am where I want to be. Done it once, can do it again!0

Yes Ma'am you sure can. I'm very new to this too! Y'all are more than welcome to friend me. I'm just a plain spoken cowgirl from NC.
How's everyone doing today? Anyone need some encouragement? Anything to celebrate?
I'm home sick with a nasty cold today. I finally had time to set up my profile and add pics. I've been fighting this cold thing since Monday and finally threw in the towel and called my boss last night.
However, despite being sick and feeling like sun dried road apples, I did manage to force myself to walk on my treadmill yesterday. I have a fitbit tracker and according to that I walked 5 miles. Go Me! It did make me feel better for a while.
My reward this morning for my tenaciousness was a 1lb. weight loss! Again, Go me! So, as soon as I get a few more Oz's of water, I'm gonna try to walk a bit more today. Albeit leisurely of course. The point is.... just move. I'm sick, but I'm not using it as an excuse. Hope this inspires one of you today!0 -
I am 45 and want to loose 30! Just rejoined MFP and am very motivated to do this. Would love to give and receive support!0

What a positive and determined group.
Just curious does anyone else set SMART goals? Specific - Measurable - Action required Realistic - Time. For me - S-in May wear my favourite dress on my birthday; M-it fits or doesn't;A-try on today and take a picture;buy a scale;set daily movement and nutrition goal in notes AND DO IT; meal planning; Realistic YES!!;Time track daily;try on weekly; May birthday.
I have to track daily and would be interested in having friends :-)
Have a successful day.
