    -
seriously .... hasn't it been kinda awesome really seeing the results of our work this week? All those yesses.. and it keeps me thinking about my choices during the day so have really found it helpful!

Gail - as Seehe said, huge congrats on just eating the one.. i'd say that absolutely still counts as a YES to sugar, because you made a conscious decision to just have the one!!
and all those udder yesses.. such a great week you've had hope you're really proud of yourself!!!!

Susan - loved the yesssssssssses well done you!! Who'd a thunk that water would be such a struggle for both of us lol... but you rocked it!! and at the very least, we're both getting in way more water than we usually do right?? YAY !! and love the doggie walking pic lol.. hope the heat isn't too bad out there (I can't believe i'm saying that when its -23 here lol... but temps either way, when it aint pleasant, it ain't pleasant!!

I did a post somewhere back about my free night out; should go and check in case I forgot to hit post again lol.. but was out all morning with my senior friend doing chores and am a) short on water and b) short on FOOD so off to tie on the feedbag!!

Really, really proud of all of us this week hatters.... as as our cheerleader above said.. it's about progress - and we can all claim WE MADE PROGRESS THIS WEEK!!! wooo hoo!!!

    Morning Hatters!!

Strawberry - glad you found your way back LOL... and I think those are great goals you've set for the week (and im sure the dogs will be happy with that last one too lol) Well done you!!
    -
Carol - so glad to hear the surgery went well!!

Milove - hope you're back up to 100% soon... being down and out takes a lot out of us these days so take care of youself til you're fully recovered!

Susan - im sorry you lost your post, but i'm glad it's not just me! wish I could have read it tho!!!

Went to a surprise 50th party for a friend last night; twas all gluten free food and delish and even though I made sure I ate dinner before I went since it didn't start til 830pm, I did indulge in a few bites and few too many glasses of wine since I had a chauffeur for the night lol... like Susan said last week tho, the indulgence is coming back to haunt me today (we'll just leave it at that lol). Not sure i'm going to do the free day again anytime soon tho; set off some wicked carb cravings so today am strictly back on track to halt that!

    Have a great Sunday Hatters!

You are all doing so well. @StrawbC I tend to save calories for the evening too! I do think it's better to spread them out a bit more. By the time it gets to the evening I'm ready to blow out (when calorie counting - I'm not calorie counting at the moment, but that's one of the drawbacks of it for me. I know I could change it by changing my habits, like you, but, well, I haven't!).

This week I'm just going to try to remind myself that there's no magical law that means that food left on my son's plate doesn't have calories if I eat it standing up in the kitchen before putting it in the bin.

Vailara- you mean that magical rule isn't real??? Oh no! :o Lol.
Snooozie- Glad you had a good time with your friends and sorry it came back to bite you :\ You bet I can relate!

End of the week check in:
    1. YES-Healthy food choices: 6/6 days
    2. YES-Calorie Goal: 6/6
    3. CLOSE-Water: 5/6
    4. YES-Logged 7/6
    5. NO- Exercise 2/3 -got foiled by an unheard of in these parts 48 hours of rain last two days of the week

Tried to be a little more accountable over the weekend, and it seems to be paying off :) Looking forward to a new week and maybe some success on the scale9pqh1tewwxu6.jpg

Good Morning Ladies! A new week, I went to Ihop last night and indulged in a steak and pancakes. Ate all of the pancakes and only half the steak and half the egg whites. Why not half the pancakes. SMH. Not that I was over calories, it is just bad eating. Still not 100 per cent. Having some serious colitis going on? Ahh.
  • Snooozie
    Snooozie Posts: 3,467 Member
Milove - I wouldn't call it "bad" eating - you simply chose to have an indulgence of something you don't normally have anymore, and you were still within your cals - kinda like we're all aiming for long term; the ability to allow these moments in our lifestyle without fear so kudos to you! sorry to hear you're still feeling off :'(

Learned a few things from the past week; one of which is I don't like seeing NO next to my daily goals LOL...so will take that knowledge forward for this week, but have to account for the last two days of last week so combining sat/sun results in one:

YES - to paying attention to portion control
    - NO - to consciously focus on healthier choices thru the day
    - NO - to staying within calorie goal
    - NO - to 7 glasses of water
    - YES - to logging both days

Taking a few minutes and a coffee to decide on some tweaks for this weeks daily goals! be back in a few; hope to hear from the rest of the Hatters are to plans for this week to move forward to reaching our ultimate goals! :D

My Goal: To lose 15 pounds in 24 weeks.

I'll need to cut my calories each day by 300-500 through both diet and exercise.

To reach this goal, this week I will:

    - Replace my usual morning toast and peanut butter (275 cals) with an egg and fresh fruit (114 calories) or oatmeal (175 cals, higher fibre) at least 3 times this week
    -
-Walk for at least 30 minutes at 3.5 mph 3 days a week (approx. 180-240 calories burned).

    - Strength training exercises 3 days a week for 10 minutes (approx. 40-60 calories burned)

    - Drink at least 6 glasses of water each day.

    - log everything and stay within my calorie goal each day.

Total Calories burned each day: 270 - 550 (depending on whether I exercise).

Love the goal of 15 LBS in 24 weeks, Snooze, You will get there. I know you will.

Great note for the day, Carol….I believe it will work…..or just stand “necckid” in front of the fridge! I think that would really work for me…..bwahahahah….. sorry, couldn’t help it!

Milove, I think you did well at IHOP . You very well could have finished the whole plate.( well, I know I could)but You cut back on two things. That’s excellent! Next time, you might eat the egg whites and cut back on the pancakes…

StrawbC, I can do everything right , until I get home from work, then it’s mindless eating….so I can relate to the eating most of your calories in one meal.. but if we stays in a calorie deficient….it should even out at some point and we WILL lose…don’t ya’ think? Hahaha…I certainly HOPE so!!

Seehe, I love the SUCCESS small efforts repeated daily post. My new motto!!

Vailara, I thought I was the only one who did that….HAHAHA AND HE’S ALMOST 24 NOW…. Can’t waste food…was drilled into us so much as kids…we’re still brainwashed….

My goals for the week so far:

YES!! Water -6 to 8 glasses.
YES!! NO fried chicken tenders for breakfast... ( a big NSV!)
Yes Sugar- Doing better, but still must work on this one more….
YES!! Carbs in moderation ( mostly limited to naturally occurring in fruits &veggies.)

YES!! YES!! Exercise- 4 days a week 30 minute minimum ( I POM) It may not be making the scale move, buty it is going to be helping me in the future , stay agile…

YES!! Reduce STRESS , have more ME time. ………This is not a “STill in progress”... I was thinking this morning how to get this done, and I realized I had been doing it all along!!…My exercise is the best ME time I can give myself, It helps with reducing my stress. So a great big YES!!

I hope you all have a great day, be careful in all that SNOW and Ice, up there girls!!

lol @ Charip!! cute. Thank You (time to lose weight) I guess you are right AND I like your goals. I left my sandwich home yesterday so I only had potato chips, I bought a big bag to last a few days, ended up eating two portions. Ah. Goals for the rest of the week. Eat a small portion in the morning, bring my lunch and watch what I eat for dinner, and try not to snack at night.
