I had 2 high blood pressure readings before Christmas which spurred me on to start ochre to lose weight, but am scared to get another reading. Head in the sand time.... I need to face up to it but am thinking of buying a home BP monitor instead. Any good brands any of the UK folk are aware of?
I don't know if you're a big girl or not, but if/when you buy the machine, do make sure that the cuff fits properly on your arm. I'm really borderline on mine and it's possible that's the reason I've had high readings lately and have been scared half to death by them. It could just be an error because I'm larger now than I was when I bought the machine a few years ago.
I think I will have to invest. I am a big girl unfortunately - my arms are 16 inches round and I currently weigh over 200 lbs. Thought I was going to get down to 200 lbs this week, but instead put on a lb... sigh. Thanks for all your tips and glad to hear your BP seems normal again.0 -
My left arm is 13" around the bicep and my right 14" when I hold them out parallel to the floor. I never know if you're supposed to pull on the floppy bit at the bottom or let it hang though LOL I let it hang, otherwise, who am I kidding?
I'm so sorry about that lb. The scales always like to try our patience don't they? I hope you drop 3 lbs in the morning! I think I prefer weighing in kilos and grams. Instead of losing a pound you lose 455 grams0
