New month, so starting a new chat for gratitude.

I am grateful the scaled moved downward this morning. I was maintaining very well but really wanted the scale to move downwards again and it finally did.

I am grateful that you can now tell my face is heart shaped and not round!!! My hairdresser took that profile pic of me after a fresh haircut.

I am also grateful the scale went down another pound today, so I am at 1.8 lbs down this week so far.

I'm grateful the weather is holding, so I could do a fast, hilly walk yesterday evening. I'm so glad to get positive reinforcement, and to have found a reserve of willpower last night when husband kept trying to hand me candies from his snack bowls.

I have been known to take something (junk food someone was insistent about) offered to me and toss it in the trash, but that is just ME.

I am grateful that I was up early enough for an early morning walk. It's going to be hot today. There are an amazing number of people out walking at 6 am here! Wanda

I am grateful for my Pilates trainer - and that the inches are coming off even if the scale is stalled.

I am so grateful we have a lovely day today. It should be warm enough to venture out on a long walk in a couple of hours.

I am also grateful that I am fitting comfortably into a pair of pants I couldn't zip up a few months back, along with a cute blouse I haven't been able to wear for some time now as well. I was practicing yoga yesterday after my walk, and I was able to get into a couple of poses they way they should be without any modifications. I LOVE IT <3<3
So a couple of NSVs for me.

Beth, I went to a Pilates demo at my rec center yesterday and decided to give it a go. They use the chair, mat, and reformer. I can do the mat and chair classes for free, so I will be starting them immediately. I've worked with the reformer in the past and love it so I will work that costly class into my budget some how later this year. Happy you are getting results you like. I think that apart from strength training seriously, Pilates is the best body re-compositioning method and probably better for women in general.

Grateful that my mom is finally settled into a permanent nursing facility and she is participating in the activities and using the electric wheelchair to get around, so she doesn't just sit in a lazy boy chair all day long. It has been a long haul folks. I am delighted about this news. A big stresser removed for me and my sisters.

Grateful for the good record keeping in MFP and Fitbit. I went over my Fitbit reports, checked my calories in against the calories out since started with my Fitbit and low and behold, I am averaging 1 lb. per week, which is my goal. It just doesn't come off at the beginning or end of every week, it stalls then drops, but so far I am on track.

@retirehappy that's a great idea on using those extra tools the apps give us. Seeing the trend. ... thank you for pointing them out.
I'm so grateful to get to see my SIL this week. She and the guys are going through old pictures from the ranches, and are taking some to an older cousin who might be able to fill in some family history. They are having a wonderful time.

Definitely relate, that is news to celebrate. It is a great relief when you find the right place, which these days is not easy! My father has been living in a wonderful assisted living place for more than two years, and we are grateful for the place every day. ~ Kathy

Grateful everyone here is so encouraging.

Question? Has anyone heard from DreamOn? She started this on-going topic and I haven't seen a post from her since mid-March. Hope everything is okay.

GMCharlie, nope haven't seen any recent posting from her lately. I know she had some issues with getting her house in order, along with a computer issue, but not sure if that all got resolved or she has just dropped out.

Grateful that I am self-employed so I can take an extra week off on short notice and be here to help my father. Very grateful that he is hanging in; they are talking about sending him to rehab and I hope that he will turn the corner so that can actually happen. Very grateful for my supportive husband who is right here by my side! Also appreciating my own good health which it is so easy to take for granted. ~ Kathy

This morning I am grateful for this group and particularly for retirehappy and mxchana who reached out and gave me the nudge to get back here! I am hopefully on a weight loss roll (probably still have a little to go with this. ENT said yesterday to stay on liquids at least through the weekend. At present I do not feel like swallowing anything more than that). I actually said when I started this that I wanted a ten pound weight loss to come out of this deal and there is the possibility that could still happen!

So grateful this morning that my father is continuing to improve - they have scheduled his move to rehab on Monday. Grateful to be back home just for two days! Returning tomorrow to oversee his transfer and settling in to the new place.

Grateful it was a beautiful day and I decided to walk to the fitness center, it is 2.92 miles away. Did it felt great when I finished and was still feeling great at the end of my yoga class as well. About to go out for a bike ride too, hubby got the tires all aired up and dusted off the seats etc, so they are ready to roll.
