Rain never happened. Today made up for it. Beautiful morning, but about 2p it started...tornado warnings, then wind and dark, then HAIL like nobody's business! Rain and hail, and finally the sky's are clearing. Hoping they lift the tornado warnings between now and 7p.
My Brother and SIL went out for a morning walk...I'll try to upload a pix...one big, big alligator. We'd seen a smaller one yesterday, and also a small one too. Must be a good year for gators! Will have to read and watch Emmy later.

County Commission declares emergency in wake of hail storm
The commission’s declaration of emergency follows Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey’s emergency declaration for North Alabama counties affected by the storms, which dropped grapefruit-sized hail over portions of Cullman County and wrought extensive property damage.

Howdy y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! 38 out there now with an expected high of 50 and 0% chance of rain.
Need to clean yesterday's cat bowls, feed the cats, and probably get out to the store for a few things.

I guess he was hungry. I'd be upset but if that was ALL he took I might consider it to be a non-problem and have charitable thoughts about it. Raleigh police are asking Google to provide user data for all people near crime scenes
I wonder How and Why Google would have that Data ?
Many people use Google Maps to share their location with family and, perhaps, friends. Also, many people just leave Location Services on all the time anyway as this makes it easier to find, say, a nearby restaurant, police station, gas station, or whatever, or so that certain apps can make recommendations for you as you use them.
As such, Google has, and retains, location information for many, many users. You can even use it to show a map of your movements over a given period of past time. I would perhaps discount the usefulness of this information for crime scenes in very busy areas with many people around all the time, and also the location tracking isn't perfect, or terribly accurate. It might show me as quite some distance away from where I actually am, though in the general vicinity, or it might show precisely where I am, depending on how many different receivers can see me and how well they can triangulate the location. And there are glitches too. I've looked on my map at times to see that it has me in Pittsburgh, PA when I'm actually in downtown Atlanta. I have no idea WHAT causes that sort of glitch, but it always clears up after a while. Maybe some kind of computer error causes it to associate someone else's phone, briefly, with my location, rather than my own phone.
So...even with Google's location information, the police could have far more data than they could sift through or, alternatively, could have some totally incorrect data showing someone near who was physically half the country away! In any case, I suppose such information would have to be considered very circumstantial and I doubt that it, by itself, would be admissible in court, as it would show where someone's phone presumably was, but that isn't proof that the owner of the phone was with the phone.
Still, in limited cases, I could see that it might provide some few clues, such as an indication that the suspect who claimed to be somewhere else might have been near the crime scene, or at least the phone might have been. From that they may be able to coerce a confession or know where to look for more evidence.http://www.fox5ny.com/news/doorbell-dna-leads-deputies-to-accused-burglar

I do not believe it personally
That depends on the situation. I rather like the U-Scan checkouts if I have a fairly limited number of items, and using a touchscreen to order my food generally would ensure that any mistakes in the order are purely mine, and not the fault of the wait staff writing it down incorrectly or remembering it wrong.
Of course if the food is still made and delivered by humans, as it generally is, then they could still get it wrong but at least there is a computer record of exactly what I ordered.
Likewise if I order something for pickup at the store. Again, I used a gadget to order but at some point a human is in there checking it, or pulling the item (or the wrong item) and setting it near the pickup area. And the gadgets may think an item is in stock when it actually isn't, as humans get the inventory wrong sometimes.0 -

Hi
I'm back from shoveling instead of walking Thus no cents. The temperature this morning was 34 degrees and no breeze. The snow started sticking to the road and sidewalk around 4PM. What saved us around here was the warm streets melted the snow until the cold snow landing on them cooled them enough to stick. The Forecast storm never really got as bad as was expected so the winds never really happened.
The scale was nicely lower than yesterday morning, again, It seems that the "Time-restricted eating" combined with a 100% NS plan is working really well so far.

Since I have this tendency that privacy should not be invaded thus I do not understand this mania for sharing where I am all the time. I suspect that the police will suffer from information overload and I wonder if the information can be used legally ?
Not to mention if there are glitches in what they are recording that just gives a defense attorney a chance to get anything that depended on the Google information thrown out.
AS for Self serve checkouts, I think I'll pass on using them. I would rather let a person keep a job. If they were willing to give a 5% or 10% discount then I would rethink my decision. As it is why should I do their work for free just so they can save money.
When the Local Quick Chek switched to computer ordering for their Sub Sandwiches was when I stopped picking them up for the next days lunch at work. Despite working with computers for years I struggled with it and the entire process was not intuitive IMO.
I prefer interacting when ordering as the staff know us and will let us know if anything should be avoided or is out of stock.
Have a Good Day

Howdy y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!
33 out there now with an expected high of 56 and no chance of precipitation.
I'm really ready for winter to be over but I'm sure I'll be missing it shortly when it's unbearably hot out there.
Need to clean yesterday's cat bowls and feed the cats, and then maybe a bit of light housework if Eddie can be inspired to it. I did get the shopping done yesterday but there's always something else on the list there or added shortly after return from the store.

Hi
I'm back from walking and no cents. The temperature this morning was 34 degrees and no breeze. The leftover snow has nearly melted away from Thursdays sun and the overnight temperature. The walking was good with no icy spots.

I was ready for winter to be done with the 1st Nor'Easter and that dislike only got worse with the subsequent ones.
That is the one good thing about winter, it is easier to dress for the temperatures, What can You do to stay cool outside when it is hot and humid ? Nothing comes to mind.
My Brother says Grocery Store Run today and I will likely go to the produce store for Eggs and the Dollar Store for a quart of milk. At the Grocery store a pint of milk is 99 cents on sale higher than the Dollar Store's $1 for a quart.
