Howdy y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! 47 now with an expected high of 77 and 0% chance of precipitation.
Really need to get out to the store today, I think.
Need to get my breakfast, and clean yesterday's cat bowls. And eventually feed the cats too...

Hi
I'm back from walking and no cents. The temperature this morning was 39 degrees with a light drizzle falling that quickly cleared up and no breeze. Yesterday I saw two Deer run across the road and later on at the halfway point I saw 4 of them by a brook. Then today on the return leg I saw 4 more heading towards a different brook.
I decided to change things up and go back to a regular pattern of eating starting Tuesday, Change is a good Thing to aid in weight loss.

And here I was happy to see 39 degrees when I went out the door
I only have three things on my shopping list and my brother will pick them up when he goes today or tomorrow. If I can stay out of the grocery store I'll be eating healthier since I can avoid impulse buys that way. He also needs to pick up the free ham we earned by spending $400 over a specified period of time.parityanimal wrote: »How it's made. Haggis.

http://www.scotlandnow.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/editors-picks/haggis-banned-usa-6736230
IMPORTS of traditional Scottish haggis have been banned in the United States since 1971.
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has long objected to one of the key ingredients in haggis – sheep’s lung.
No food for human consumption, whether made locally in the USA or imported from overseas, can contain sheep’s lung.
Authentic haggis is a savoury pudding containing sheep’s pluck – the heart, liver and lungs – minced with onions, spices and oatmeal. This is often encased in a casing made of the animal’s stomach.
For aficionados and fans of Robert Burns, the haggis is the ‘great chieftain o’ the pudding race’.
Have a Nice Day

Hi Valerie0 -
I may be wrong however I have a recollection that the traditional Haggis can not be sold here in the U.S.

Yep. Seems to me that if it's well cooked, it shouldn't be a problem but I don't make the laws. While I have never been to Scotland to try the real thing, I have eaten the United States legal version, made in the U.S. without, of course, the sheep's lung.
There is (or at least used to be) an online British food store I occasionally bought it from, canned, and there is (or was) a British store in nearby Norcross that carried it frozen, looking much like frozen rolls of breakfast sausage, as well as, sometimes, canned. The frozen ones were rather prohibitively expensive. I bought the canned version and found that I like the stuff.
The online store even had a canned VEGETARIAN version that I transformed into veggie burgers and J actually like them well enough.
I'd love to go to Scotland sometime to try the real thing. Two of my brothers have been over there but as far as I know have not taken the dare.
I also like pork pies, pasties, Yorkshire pudding, spotted dick dessert pudding (with custard sauce), plum pudding, and jam roly poly.

Hi!
Having every day this week scheduled is a pain in the butt! Today was the car..Honda Safety Recall for the passenger side air bag...2 hours shot. Oh well, should anybody ever ride with me they will be safe? LOL!
Need a set of new tires, and once again I'm being asked to replace the filters for the HVAC cabin system, as well as the engine. Engine sounds necessary...cabin??? not so sure. I think I now officially really dislike Honda...love my little Fit..but the company...maybe not so much.
Talked to Jack Tuesday...among other items, Olivia made about 6 items of doll clothes for her dolls....(she'd texted me pix of her hard work) and she got in trouble for it. Somedays I have to wonder about those parents. Seems as though she cut up a pair of worn out or too small? jeans, and a couple of t-shirts that no longer fit...the issue? Seems as though Jenn donates the kids out grown clothes. Ok, that's nice. But if O recycled a couple tshirts and a pair of old jeans...what the hey???? So, Grammie being a stubborn old biddy, has gathered up a pair of her jeans and 3 t-shirts for her to cut up and sew for her dolls. Sometimes adults are just ridiculous.
Tom is still being a pain in the *kitten*. I finally figured out that this was the first time that he was ALONE for the week I was gone...Hoot died mid summer, so he was still around in March. today was a warm, sunny day, and Tom stayed out the entire day after breakfast..came in for dinner, and is outside again. I think I'll let him in shortly and go to bed...he can start staying outside next week. Will let him recover a bit more from his 'separation anxiety '
I intend to be outside tomorrow for most of the day. Would like to get the lawn mower up and running, and work on better control of the new weed whacker, and maybe even trim a shrub or three! You can bet I have more on my outside list than I can possibly do in one day. If the weather holds I should have a fair shot at having a nicely trimmed yard for Easter Sunday!
Spent a bit of time Tuesday at the ATL Botanical Garden. It was a chilly day, with awful wind, but the flowers were simply gorgeous! Got the name of a couple more spring blooming shrubs, etc. Just saw 'fields' of narcissus and of white tulips! Stunning.
Ok, cat is about to be invited in, and I'm headed to bed...

Possibly they figure that everybody would not cook it well done despite warnings on the package, sort of like everybody cooks meats and eggs with a range from raw to well done
Many years ago I bought some British foods up in Canada...

I think I saw that recall on the news a while back. I think it was some sort of computer update ?
My Brother had to change the cabin filter on his Ford Taurus so it is not that unusual. I do however suspect that the change warning is more based on time to sell a service than a sensor that detects restriction in the filter which would be a hardware item that costs more than software warning You to change it.
Even Air filters for the engines intervals are extremely variable depending on the amount of dust in the air.Talked to Jack Tuesday...among other items, Olivia made about 6 items of doll clothes for her dolls....(she'd texted me pix of her hard work) and she got in trouble for it. You could be right regarding the reason for the cats behavior.
Am I remembering incorrectly that You have a Battery operated lawn mower ? FWIW my neighbor uses one, I will admit that it is easier to use than having to start a Gas engine mower.
I did a little maintenance in the back yard and trimmed the Raspberries and Blackberry bushes.
Another Day to Good Friday and the start of Passover on the same day.
We do have Miniature Daffodils in bloom that have replaced the First blooming Snow Drops.
Good Luck with the yard work

Howdy y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! 56 now with an expected high of 73 and 40% chance of precipitation.
I did get out to Aldi yesterday and bought the essential items. I still have a few things on the list, and might get out to Ingles today to buy the rest. The weather may help me on deciding whether to go or not, and when. It's looking like they're not really expecting any rain until nearly dinner time this evening so getting out to Ingles is looking pretty likely. I'll probably run some laundry today too as I need to do the towels, if nothing else, and I usually combine those with the whites, and usually just go ahead and do all the available laundry when doing laundry so that means at least two loads, and sometimes three.
I need to get yesterday's cat bowls cleaned and feed the cats too.
