@JTH11706 - Thank you!
Our daughter's graduation ceremony yesterday was great! Well, it was long...and terrific once she crossed the stage, got 'hooded' and shook hands with the college prez. I cried! We had lunch with all her friends and then called it a day. Today she and I hit the gym with our trainer for an hour, then I walked with DH and Bean, then I walked by myself, then I took Bean home. It's been a good day!
Sun - 2.62 miles
Mon - 8.77 miles
Should hit goal tomorrow...hoping...hoping...hoping!
Have a great Tuesday everyone.

Busy weekend here, sorry I missed posting. Saturday we did a lot of the planting the garden and the flowers on the deck. Sunday was another day up helping dear daughter get her apartment together and meeting her new boyfriend for the first time and today was a mini vacation day complete with a trip to a local state park to check out the hiking trails and the campground for a close get away spot. Added 11.75 miles total for a May total of 93.5 miles.
I should be able to reach goal Wednesday, so I Will have some bonus miles to donate. That is my goal for May now.

@Janet I hope your dad had a great birthday. I have to admit after reading your post yesterday, I sat and cried (needed tears)l You see, Dad's 90th birthday would have been May 31 (next Sunday) if he was still here. I'm thankful for the time I had, but I really wish I could say Happy Birthday to his face Sunday.0

I can't speak for everyone here, but you and Dave are two of the people in this group that always help keep me going when things get tough. This is just a little way for me to say thanks. (Of course, I need to get to bonus miles first. ) I know it is just what you do, but when I think I can't manage a simple mile or two a day, looking at your steady 800 or so miles a month reminds me that It can be done if I just do it and stop making excuses. These will just be a few of the miles that you quietly (and maybe unknowingly) encouraged me through in past months.
And if this simple gesture helps bring a smile to you while you are struggling with your knee surgery, I for one am happy to contribute.0 -

Congrats to Grandmajackie on making goal!
@Taxmom - now you made me cry. I'll be thinking of you on Sunday. I'm sure it will be a tough day.
Now that we've pushed Dave over the goal line, the donations are pouring in for Lovemyalex. She's now up to 398 miles, just about half way toward her usual 800 miles. I have to agree with Taxmom - that fact that (uninjured) Lovemyalex can post 800 miles month after month is one of the inspirations that keeps me going. Let's pull together here and keep her streak intact.
I got in a 5 mile walk today. I'm really trying to get over the goal line so I can donate some bonus miles.0 -
I went to Seattle for vacation this weekend, and walked 3.4 miles around the downtown and seattle center areas. Not much, but every little bit counts this month!
