    I'm new to this group but not walk at home tapes. I'm starting over because of "life" and the remainder of the month I commit to one mile a day.

    You are right I am very stressed I make mountains out of mole hills, these things always seem to work out but untill they do........slow going. Life is more important then the crap I stress over. Thanks for being there.

    Are you dealing with a lot of stress Dawn? I have had the worst time this winter being motivated and I also have gone over my calories at least one a week, which I have never done on the past 2 years of being on MFP. However, my motivation increased substantially after I graded my last final and entered final grades. It finally dawned on me that teaching 7 classes with 4 of them online this semester was extremely stressful even though I LOVE it! The fact that you are having the same sleeping problems that I did (I would wake up in a panic that I forgot something, go to the computer, check all my classes, find out I did not forget anything and still not be able to fall asleep again until 4 hours later) makes me think that you are dealing with stress and may not recognize it.

    I don't think we always recognize stress because it often comes along with things we love to do and do not think of as "stressful." The holidays are a good example. Everyone loves the parties, the decorating, the shopping the smells etc, but it is very stressful even though we love it. There is a lot on the forums about "emotional" eating and losing motivation because of "emotional" issues, but I found stress to be a much bigger problem for me. It has reached the point now that when I go for that second glass of wine or that extra handful of baked cheetos, I KNOW I have some stress somewhere. Think about all that is going on in your life and think about things that you are resisting or trying not to think about or even that you enjoy, but there is just too much of a good thing right now. You may find some hidden stress that is sapping your motivation.

    ok so I finally got some exercising in, I did a mile on Sunday and 3 miles today. Hopefully I am getting back on track with food and walking. Have a good to all. :)

    127/100 The temps finally dropped overnight to a comfortable 65 degrees. My son and I enjoyed this mornings cool walk at the park. I did 6 miles.

    I'm getting started a little late in the month, but I walked 3 miles with Leslie and friends this afternoon, and for about an hour outside with my dogs this evening. Great night for a walk even with the heat and humidity.
