@jenean52, how did your surgery go? You back on the grid yet?

Surgery went well, lots of stomach gas, burping and trying to keep down water for the first two days. Better today after getting home yesterday and sleeping in my own bed. Water and protein shakes going down easier. Not hungry at all.

Welcome to the world of gas! Sounds like it went well! Don't freak if you hit a plateau. Mine hit week 2 and lasted a week. It's normal.

Just adding some new stats here.

    1st month -lost 18 lbs
    2d month - lost 12

Some fun numbers - my fat percentage during that time went from 53.6% to 48.7%. This number is the most volatile of my measurements, but it's a clear downhill trend. (See pic)

I've lost 6 inches off my hips and 2 off my waist. I'm a total pear shape, so this makes me happy.

And my BMI has gone down by 5 points.

Time for a bump with this one!
    Today is my 3-month Anniversary:
    HW: 335 (10/15/2013)
    SDW: 262 (7/8/2015) -- 73 LOST PRE-OP
    1 MO: 239 (8/8/15) -- 23 POUNDS
    2 MO: 218 (9/8/2015) -- 21 POUNDS
    3 MO: 209 10/8/2015) -- 9 POUNDS
    TOTAL LOSS -- 126 POUNDS
I have gone from a 4X shirt to an XL; 46" pants to a 38". I do not have a weight end-goal, but have a BMI end goal. Hopefully I will get to the 22% range and be able to manage that.

It seems kind of early for my scale losses to have slowed so dramatically. I really have not changed much via body measurements either. I hope this is not my "optimal weight". Maybe loss amount is a relative-to-weight type thing. I've not been active in weight training this month, and have only been focusing my gym time on running. I'm currently in the gym at least 4 day a week, and my daily calories are barely at 700 (usually under). I plan on getting back in to lifting this month, and see what happens.

Update - almost 4 months post op
    HW: 290 (12/1/15)
    Pre-op: 230 (6/15/15) lost 60 lbs

    Month 1: 205 (7/13/15) lost 15 lbs
    Month 2: 193 (8/10/15) lost 12 lbs
    Month 3: 182 (9/9/15) lost 11 lbs
    Month 4: 173 (10/8/15) lost 9 lbs

CW: 173 Total loss 117 lbs
GW: 145 Only 28 lbs to go!!

At my 3 month post op appt I was met with a huge smile from my doctor! He was so happy to see my progress.
I'd lost 81% of my weight. He said that typically people will lose 60-80% in the first year and I was at only 3 months post op. I worked super hard and lost 60 lbs before surgery so that really gave me a boost. My BMI is no longer in the OBESE range. I'm an slightly 'over weight'. All of my other numbers are on target. Blood pressure is down and I'm feeling great. Best decision of my life!
