Congrats 2poufs on your success! Out of curiosity, have you reached your goal weight?

93lbs to go. I was 200lbs over when I started this journey, 180lbs over at surgery.

Lioykavsg wow, you are doing amazing! I just estimated, but it seems you've already lost 60% of your excess weight at only 5 months out!! That's amazing. Keep up the great work!

Thank you! Your right, my misfit says I'm at 65% to goal. 20 lbs left to go. My personal goal is 150. The Surgeon didn't really want to set a goal. Honestly, at 170.... If my weight loss stopped right now, I could be content. I am so happy not feeling pain every time I go up and down stairs. My body feels good. My blood pressure is normal. So many reasons to be thankful! Good luck with recovery! I had a terrible time sleeping in the hospital. My BP was elevated and I was so anxious! When I got home things started falling in place. Listen to your body. Mine woke me every two hours to hydrate and pace, so I did. I also made sure to sleep and rest a lot during the first 10 days. Remember, laundry and housework will always be there. Don't push yourself too hard. Rest, sip, walk.

I am feeling better overall. I still have intense pain when I stand but I'm tolerating liquids much better today. I'm going to be ok, and one day I'll look back at this time and laugh. I just need to make it to that day... Lol

Lost 5.8 on the pre-op but I was traveling one of those weeks and didn't have as much control as I needed. Had the sleeve on 6/1 and have lost 36 since then.

That's awesome! Great Jo. With your weight. Dropping meds is a great accomplishment too. I'm sorry about the mood swings. As for your stall, you will break through it. Just keep doing what you know is right. Congrats!

Based on those who have replied, I've calculated an average weight loss of 21.5 in the first month after surgery. I would love to continue to get input on your weight loss journeys. I am inspired by all of your stories!

    Preop: 40#
One Monthish (a few days shy): 14#
I'll probably lose another pound by Monday, which marks one month since surgery. 15# a month is just fine with me!

You have done incredible on your journey! I have hit that stall (I am in the first 4 weeks post-op). It's frustrating, but I've started checking my measurements as well. It's definitely helping!
I wish you continued success on your journey.
