Wow! The three pound thing must be contagious! I did a skip two days, (with some Kombucha on second day) fast. How many hours is that? 50+ IDK. But I lost 3 lbs too! New low, 194.9, down 119!
I feel marvelous. Going out now to break my fast. ❤️0 -
My new "large" sized shirts came in today, I can't wait to get home and try them (crossing my fingers)0

I finished a 49 hour fast today, and it isn't even noteworthy, since this is a regular occurrence for me. I only lost 0.9 lb, and even though I want to lose 38 more pounds, this is getting a bit harder. I lost 9 pounds in September and so far only 6 pounds in October. I'm not complaining, I'm just noticing the trend.
I will continue with a shorter fast of about 36 hours mid week , then aim for another 48 hr fast next weekend. Happy fasting everyone!0 -
I did a 2 night fast (63+ hours). It's been the same every week. I lose after the fast, gain 3-5 lbs afterwards, then fast and lose all that gained and more. That happened, except I only broke even with last week, so I got mad, and fasted an extra day. I started a day earlier (Wednesday, technically the fast started Tuesday after dinner) broke fast at lunch Friday.
The extra day made a big difference, I lost 3 lbs...! YAY! (Please note, that if I didn't lose much on the second day, my mind was already prepped to do another day!)
At work, I received some "Large" shirts from Amazon. I haven't worn large since high school. I couldn't wait to go home and try them, so I went to the bathroom and tried one on and it fit perfectly. Told my boss and he hi-5'd me...LOL!
Like I said on my wall, its getting harder to lose as I approach my goal weight. But, I am determined to get there, even if I have to fast for 5 days in a row!

Ahhh I am so excited! I lost 3.3 lbs from the fast, 3.6 overall this week! I did a 45 hour fast which I broke 24 hours ago so I'm hoping that all of this sticks. That is a HUGE weight loss for me, and to get it two weeks in a row is so invigorating.
I have a huge work function for 2 days next month will our biggest Executives and since I'll be minutes away from my main client I will be meeting them for the first time as well - so I'm really hoping to consistently lose until then. If nothing else to push into the next size (I'm swimming in my chest/legs/butt in my current wardrobe but since I haven't lost a ton from my stomach/hips I'm not quite ready to move down).0 -
Great job @110challenge !0

WOW! Awesome!!! I'm glad that you are successfully losing. With Keto as the base for the fasting, it makes fasting much easier (your brain tries to tell you otherwise)....

I did one 24 hour fast last week with no weight loss. I've been doing 16:8 most days and today will be close to 24 hours. We'll see what the scale says after.0

Gonna give that a go, but have to time it just right.0

I've worked out a plan. I found the 24 hr fast to be pretty easy so this week I'm going for 48 hours. Wednesday dinner to Friday dinner. Wish me luck.0

Good luck indeed! I want to go longer (I currently do 34 hours) but my mind keeps telling me I'm hungry on the breakfast of the second day. Let us know how you go.0 -
I made it to 36 hours. Doesn't sound like a big improvement, but it has been a significant step for me not to shove food in my face as soon as I wake up after a fast. So I made it into work at least before shoving food into my face! I think I could have made it to 40 hours, but just chose not to.
@dldoddy - how did you get on?0 -
I'm started last evening after dinner. I'm trying not to obsess about my growling belly. I brought no food to work, other than some homemade chicken broth and won't get home till 7:30 tonight so I know I'll at least make it until tomorrow morning. We'll see how I feel then. I hope to make it until dinner Friday. I've been skipping breakfast lately so it's no big deal up to this point. Purely psychological.0

I didn't lose this week or last week. Super disappointed (I didnt fast two weeks ago though). I think my cortisol is up though, I worked 58 hours the week I didnt fast and 52 the week I did. No other changes and the 58 hour week was actually my T.O.M so I had expected a significant swoosh last week.
My big work function is Tues/Wed and I'll have very little control over my diet and everything is free (and I'm not positive if I want to, one of the meals is a suite at a NHL game.. I hear the food is going to be amazing. What a rare opportunity!). I eat one meal a day right now so jumping to 3 meals a day and in environments where I wont always be able to order off a menu.. yikes!0 -
I'm 37 hours in to my fast and feel certain I will make it to dinner time tonite! I feel good, not really hungry. Thinking about dinner tonight, though....0

Fantastic!
@110challenge I bet it will just come off in a big whoosh...sorry you'lre so stressed.0 -
oh boy feeling pretty excited. I don't normally weigh in while fasting but I was super curious and weighed-in this morning about 36 hours into my 48 hour fast. I was down 3.7 lbs, and it was right out of the shower so my quite long hair was soaking wet. I'm really hoping at least 2.5 lbs of that sticks!

Curious how quickly you guys regain weight when you stop fasting? I do a 48 hourish fast over the weekend and normally don't weigh in until Tues/Wed but I wanted a general idea of where I'm at before I'm out of town for 2 days. My weight is pretty low - 4.2 lbs down?!? I normally wouldnt even consider that most of that might be a true loss but I didn't lose 2 weeks prior so I'm holding onto hope...0

My results vary so much it's hard to say. Each time is a bit different. I wouldn't get too hung up on trying to figure it out. I think the cumulative effect of all efforts is what counts in the long run.0

Lost 3lbs this week, more than usual - possibly because of the exercise during a fasted state (dehydration? or weight loss? time will tell). I am now struggling with the mental battle - approaching another milestone which I would love to reach before Christmas, but I know some part of me is scared of being slim. I need to work extra hard not to sabotage the hard work.0

I'm in China now, checking in ~ and love to see new people trying water fasting out! Great!
If there ever was a person that would gain back weight after a fast, its me. But I would lose it and then some at each week. But even that mojo isn't working as well. I am "resetting" my body here in China (translation = I'm not as strict with what I eat and not counting calories, translation = I ate more carbs than normal....LOL! And I'm not fasting, and I don't care, because you don't always get to go to China ~ and someone else pays for it ~ everyday)!
I am sure I have gained 10 lbs....
I'll probably have to fast for a solid week to recover.... LOL!

Last week's 48 hour fast went OK. I was down about 3.5 lbs initially, then back up 2. Not a crazy loss for a 48 hr fast, but hey,it's something. I'll do probably 36 hours starting tonight after dinner. Then a again next Wednesday in anticipation of Thanksgiving.0

I'm back! Trip went well, I was really proud of myself. Lots of terrible food choices at every turn and it was unlimited booze and I stuck with water. I didn't eat anything until we got to the pregame bar last night and then had a 2 hour blitz or so where I ate foods I normally never would. Then this morning I ate at the breakfast buffet but now I'll fast until tomorrow evening. My weight had dropped even further after the post above so it's looking like I'll be down 50 lbs total by the end of the month Not bad for less than 5 months0

@110challenge That's fantastic. Congratulations on that big 50!0
