Let's talk electrolytes and potassium...

so I've been doing keto 3-4 months and it's been great! The only issue has been feeling very tired. I have other health factors that play into this as well.
My friend I visited said when she did keto a couple years ago, potassium supplements and electrolytes were crucial. She suggested no-salt, which has quite a bit of potassium in it. Are there any other electrolyte suggestions? Rather than buying one of those bottled drinks every day.

Boullion. Bone broth. And don't be afraid of salt. You need it.0

Magnesium was the deal breaker for me. I get a chelated Magnesium Citrate for easy absorption, though there is another form that is more bio-available. Maybe someone here can post the link to the recent discussion on the best types. Once I added the magnesium, it was literally life-changing. No more muscle cramps, better sleep, better day time energy, less other electrolyte dumping, etc.
Also, getting at least a small amount of coconut oil in some form in the morning time helps, if you can. Fat bomb, coffee/tea, etc., cook your breakfast in it... Coconut oil is like brain rocket fuel.0 -
HA! Found the magnesium link in another forum. http://forum.bulletproofexec.com/index.php?/topic/2078-bulletproof-magnesium-thread/0

I was a bit nervous about spending almost NZ$6 on the no-salt, but I love the taste. It's in the "exotic international foods" segment of my grocery store so it's expensive. I sprinkle it on my hand and eat it off.
I do feel better with more salt and potassium and less hungry. Worth a shot!0 -
