Back On Target Challenge Week 2

Well, everyday the pain gets a bit easier. And every day my steps are increasing. I'm not quite at 10k but I did make 8,500 yesterday. Sleep is going down. Was at 15-16 hours, Fri, Sat & Sun (thank you medication). lol
Everyone - keep moving!! I'm struggling, but I'll be back again very very soon. And I'm feeling quite distanced from myself...challenging to keep a thought in my brain. Only on Advil/Tylenol during the day, but darn at times it seems hard to focus and I'm unsure why. Those two shouldn't do that to me...but alas, I'm still here.0 -
Well for the first time in a couple of weeks. I hit my 10k steps last night. I attended a biz mixer at Taste of Cave Creek (local restaurants and such selling samples of their wares). Good old biz networking at its finest. The one positive about the tooth issue was I was unable to sample most of the food - and there is some darn good food at that function!!0

Hi, ladies. Lois, it sounds like you're making progress, and we're glad to have you back near the groove, if not in it!
On Wednesdays, I have regular call evening call with a person I mentor, and this week the call went really long because of some pretty serious job issues that she is facing. So I didn't get to walk that night. But last night, I was able to meet my mall-walking friend. We put in 80 minutes of fast walking. I forgot to put on my bodymedia unit, so I don't have a step count, but I'd estimate about 8000 or so.
Work yesterday was very stressful. My client is in one of her periodic manic periods when she gives us a bunch of tasks with impossibly short turnaround times. I'll be given a task with a deadline in two hours, and IF that was the only thing I had to do, I'd be really pressed to do it in two hours. My job is such, that I can seldom just work on one thing. I logged in this morning to learn that I'm not the only one feeling the squeeze. One coworker finally "had her had" and turned in her notice; another told me she is--and I quote--desperately looking for another job; and a third--who is also a contractor--has filed a complaint with her company.
I just need to b-r-e-a-t-h-e and try to stay in space of gratitude. (I am, after all, employed and doing work that I hope will make the world a better place.)
I was a bit sad though that I didn't get outside before dark yesterday to enjoy even a few minutes of the glorious fall day we had. It was in the low 70's and sunny. Cooler weather is coming in for the weekend, dagnabit!
You would think that stress would burn calories, but instead, I find that the opposite happens, so I need to stay vigilant. Keep pushing me, ladies!0 -
sounds like we are doing pretty well, all in all I will start the week 4 thread shortly but wanted to add my week 3 stats to this thread.
Wed was 55 active minutes and 1 hr 3 min fat burning
Thurs 41 active minutes and 1 hr 27 min fat burning
Fri 37 active minutes and 1 hr 7 min fat burning
Sarah, your work doesn't sound like much fun right now... We are stressed and over worked but at least we really enjoy each other's company at the office. We had pajama day on Fri0
