I'm trying to think of ways to cook halibut that are not plain. I'm trying to incorporate some healthier meals with fatty fish that my husband will also eat. He has high blood pressure. I thought about an almond crusted halibut - he likes fish that are fried or crusted. Anybody have any other ideas? I'm trying to be creative because he gets very bored and he won't eat Salmon. Thanks so much!!

You could mix some parmesan cheese with almond flour, coat the fish and bake it in the oven at 325º. The reason for baking it at a low heat is so the almond flour doesn't burn. You can mix in some herbs and seasoning that you and he enjoys to vary the flavor. Enjoy!

Sounds yummy. I will try that myself. I have been pan frying fish in coconut oil. Nice n crispy outside, softer middle.

Thank you!! I love that idea. How long do you usually cook at that temp?

Crush flavored pork rinds to use as coating too. You could do foil packets with garlic, lemon and butter also, much like salmon packets.

Season with garlic powder, chili powder, paprika and cumin. Serve on a bed of lettuce, shredded purple cabbage, avocado, diced cucumber, tomato and a sprinkling of chopped onions. Add a dollop of sour cream and garnish with cilantro.
