    I agree with @TavistockToad and also the MFP Monthly Running Challege thread is VERY active and has a lot of experienced/Ultra runners as well as newbies or those in between. I've found it a great source for advice.

    That said, I would look at some different HM plans. I started off with the Half Marathon Event Plan from rundouble.com and it served me well last year. Hal Higdon also has some good plans and there are so many others to choose from. Most plans are about 12 weeks give or take, so you have some time and might look at building your base or gradually move to running 5 days a week (not sure what you are running now, but most plans are for 5 days and I've seen a few with 4 days).
