    Well here we are again - 8 days left and way behind. 46 miles to reach goal. 25 miles to reach 100 ...but I am going to really try to get as close as I can.

    102/100 I am cruising this month but it is stress my husband is like ugh it's 3 in the morning only do a mile. I keep telling him it's better to be in the house than cruising the streets. LOL

    Great job everyone. And Happy Easter to all who celebrate.

    I'm still persevering, but going slowly.
    I'm working with Leslie's Walk Away the Pounds, which uses hand weights, but I have not used them yet.
    I was doing my walks at the beginning of the day. Twice I tried the 2 mile, but ended up feeling quite weak and dizzy both times, and it seemed like it took a while to recover. I think it was because I had not eaten. I normally do not eat breakfast, so I was probably weak from lack of fuel. Now I am trying to set a time later in the day - but if I don't do it before supper, I often feel too bloated to move much.
    I also want to work up to using the hand weights. Over the years I have suffered a few times with tendonitis in both arms, plus a right rotator cuff injury. My upper body is very weak, so needs some work - but I need to go into this slowly and not overdo it. I hope to start doing some modified hand weight activity soon.

    Goal March 11-31: 20 miles

    As of Mar 20 1 had walked 9 miles

    Since then I have done 6.5 miles

    Total as of today - 15.5 miles.
    4.5 miles to go.

    Thank you all for being here and doing this challenge. Without this I probably would not have been this consistent.
    I'm looking forward to moving into April, and gradually increasing my distance, and using the hand weights.

    My 5 miles will have to be inside - curling to watch at 10 a.m. and I have my little granddaughter until after lunch sometime so hopefully will get outside this afternoon.

    hollyhock1009 perhaps try eating a piece of fruit when you get up or even a small piece of toast. I myself prefer to exercise in the morning - lots of times it gives me energy to continue the day and I know that I have completed it instead of worrying about squeezing it in later.

    Good thing my little granddaughter had an afternoon nap with her grandpa - I headed outside for a walk. Beautiful sunny day today.

    I will need to really move it today and tomorrow. Wednesday heading out to Dr. appointments. I have 27.3 miles to go to reach goal. ugh!!!

    Thanks for the suggestions, @Lilymay2.
    I have actually 'played' with every imaginable eating combo and time. Eating early, especially carbs just made me hungry all day long. I like an evening snack, but with a breakfast I just kept eating and eating and went over my calorie limit. So I ended up switching my breakfast to 'lunch' around 11 AM, having oatmeal and 1 or 2 hardboiled eggs, or scrambled eggs with veggies. (That helped to eliminate the calories from toast too.) Then a snack with protein around 3, and a full supper between 6 and 7, and then I could still have calories for an evening snack. Re fruit, many fruits actually bother my stomach (IBS) - I find cooked fruit much easier for me to digest.
    Being 66, and only 5', MFP 'gave' me 1200 calories a day. But it seems like I basically just maintained at that level. I do not lose unless I am below 1150, so it's a real puzzle as to how to fit in those calories for best effect.

    I do appreciate your feedback though.

    Lilymay2, congrats on hitting 100 miles, even if it's not to your goal yet. I can only dream of doing that, at this point.

    Since then I have done 5 more miles - so total as of today - 20.5 miles. Yippee.

    I used the weighted balls on 2 of the 1 miles this week. I had planned to just hold them, and work up to the exercise movements, but I just ended up doing them anyway. As a newbie exerciser, I am really feeling it!
