What is your next mini goal ?

Having the amount to lose that we do I find I need to break it up in to little goals otherwise I get overwhelmed and fall at first hurdle. I want to lose 155lb going from 330 to 175 which is scary but 1lb is not scary, so I will just lose 1lb and do so 155 times. We all just need to lose 1lb and then do that again until one day we won't need to lose another 1lb. The difficult bit is not putting the 1lb back on each time, thats where I need a group like this to keep me motivated. Just being with others in similar battles massively boosts my motivation levels. As well as trying to just focus on the next 1lb I also get excited about each new 5 or 10lb marker I pass. My next mini goal is to get below 300lb. I will post back here when I achieve that goal.

Mini goals that I have already achieved are the various weight markers I have passed, getting back on this site and logging, setting foot in a gym, getting back into walking just for sake of exercise and enjoyment , started a local meetup group for those wanting to lose lots of weight, then when not much interest shown I started this group.

So please share your mini goals and come tell us each new one and each time you achieve one and which ones you have already achieved.

    My mini goal is definitely getting below 300 lbs. The last time for me was 2009 when I got to 293. Since then I have bounced up and down repeatedly between 350 and 310. As soon as my skin loosens up a little and my 3 xl shirts fit again I tend to lose interest. Not this time. I will be accountable.

    I tend to go with 10 lb goals , and because I like to help people I will by 10 pounds of food and give it to the local food bank . 4 more to go for the first 10

    I currently have two mini goals:

    1 - Lose the 2lbs I put on last week.
    2 - Get under 300lbs. I'm 8lbs away.

    My next mini goal is to get below the lowest weight I have been in the last 2 years. That is exactly 1 lb away! After that, my next goal is to get to the weight it says on my license. I'm less than 15 lbs away from that.

    I am in the UK and we measure in Stones and Pounds. There are 14lbs in a stone. I have currently lost 13lb, so my next mini goal is just 1lb away - my first stone. I will then focus on each half a stone. I also have the goal of 10%, which is 2 stone 6lbs, as that is the point that you are supposed to be able to feel the health benefits. That will also take me back down to the weight I was for many many years.

    13 pounds to go and I will be down 100 pounds :D hoping to have it done by April 15th which will mark the my one year starting point.

    My 1st mini-goal is to break into the 240's... thats about where I was before I went into an emotional eating "frenzy". My 1st official weigh-in last Sunday was 259, had an "unofficial" check on Thursday & was 256. I am hopeful that when I achieve that 1st mini-goal (not IF-which is what I find myself thinking on tough days), that I'll feel like "hey, I can do this!" B) I find that I have to keep reminding myself that I didn't put on these extra pounds in a few months...It's gonna take time to get them off!

    I'm 6 lbs away from being down 100 from my heaviest... Again. After that, I'm putting 299 in my crosshairs, which will be 4 more lbs.

    I achieved my mini goal to get under 300lb
    Today I am 295lb
    My next mini goal is to get under 21 stone , we measure in stones in uk. 1 Stone is 14 lb. I am 21 stone and 1lb at the moment, so just need to lose 2 lb to achieve next mini goal.

    Just weighed myself on my home scales (which I use to log every week) - I lost 4lbs last week!
    I'm SO pleased with that, that's my first mini goal achieved. It puts me at 304lbs, 26lbs lost so far, and only 5lbs from 299! I never thought I'd be so excited about being 300lbs, ha ha :smile:

    26.5 lbs to go to get under 300. I have a wedding in 1 year and 15 days and I want to make it to 100 lbs by then. At 230 Ill be at the weight I was about 4 years ago when I ran a 5K. I am going to get there and keep running until I reach my ultimate goal . . have not decided what that is yet LOL.

    Just bought the cutest cobalt blue tankini 3 sizes smaller. Im going to use it as motivation! Can't wait til it fits!

    Mine is getting to 270 lbs. I've been putting off an outpatient surgical procedure because at my current BMI, the doctor will require it to take place in a hospital. At 270, my BMI will be in a range which he accepts as safe enough that he will do the surgery at his office.

    Congratulations to all of you who hit your marks for your recent weigh-ins! Well done & a big inspiration to the rest of us :)

    Not official weigh in day, but I've done it, I'm under 300lb. Today's weight 299.25lb :)
