Casino buffet tomorrow afternoon --- muahahahaha!!! Crab legs & prime rib here I come!

Actually, going during AAA will probably be good for me, as these kinds of places are where I often fall off the keto train and hit some desserts as well as the main dish stuff. So without that being an option tomorrow, boom, easy-peasy!

Still going strong here. I do IF a lot of days and yesterday and today have been one meal a day. Easy. Even though my stomach may growl, I don't "feel" hungry. I never have that omg I HAVE TO EAT feeling. Bacon cheeseburgers make me happy!

I will post an update thread for official updates on Monday. Figure we will do a thread every 10 days, instead of week. Just because. Lol

Edit: I was bad. We went to Texas Roadhouse tonight. I ate peanuts before my food. Plus had cheese and sour cream. Yes, I ate peanuts. It was a few handfuls. Not sure how much. Not "food" by my normal definition, but I am willing to suffer the minor gas and indigestion for those amount I ate.

Been doing pretty well; had no plant products yesterday, today I "cheated" and had a handful of cashews and some green beans with my dinner. Makes me laugh to think of green beans and cashews as a "cheat". Did feel a bit bloated after, but no other ill effects.

I was tempted by almonds today but I resisted because I stubbornly want to complete the month with no cheats!

I was away for the weekend and went off AAA by choice. It's more convenient to eat a bit of plants when staying at someone else's home. I ws at my aunt's farm for a butchering bee; we did a few cows. It's a ways out of the nearest town so I couldn't pop out to grab something either. LOL

I wasn't too bad. I had a layered salad and a coconut muffin (which I brought so I know it had no sugar). I felt fine if not hungrier. Oh, I also had a diet cola.... Sort of the result of being hungrier. I am stil hungrier so staying within AAA during the next 48 hours will be more challenging.

On the plus side, I ate a lot of excellent pork. The bratwurst needed to be sampled to taste so we had a lot of sausage patties cooking up throughout the day. We brought home about 40 two and half foot rings of bratwurst, 6 big pork roasts, dozens of chops, and a few packages of ribs. A little over a month ago we did a cow too so now I have half a cow and an entire pig in my freezer. I am allllll set for AAA. LOL ;)

Back from the buffet and stuck with AAA except for some incidental sauce on the brisket and chicken --- I blotted them with napkins to reduce the load. Stuck mainly with the crab legs though ... they split them in half so there's no shells to crack ... I had a BUNCH! :) I think they must steam them in salt water or something because I am hella thirsty now.

For lunch yesterday I didn't reheat my letover cube steak, and ate some cold chunks of ghee along with a few hardboiled eggs ---- it was pretty damn awesome.

Still doing the all animal thing. I did have a couple squares of dark chocolate a couple days ago (chocolate's an animal, right?), and today we had chicken soup for dinner, but I think I managed to eat around most of the veggies ;). We're planning a get together Sunday - my husband is smoking a pork shoulder, and I plan to make deviled eggs, Cole slaw, and some corn on the cob to go with. I'll skip the corn (I don't even like it this time of year), but I may have a bit of coke slaw. Then on Monday is dh's bday; the meal with not be all animal, but still LC. The "cheat" will be a slice of cake. But I had been planning that anyway. Not really feeling as bored as I thought I might.

Here is a question for all you sciencey types. (you know who you are). I've been experiencing pain and swelling in some of my joints in my hands/wrists. I was self-diagnosing- thinking surely I must have RA or some other arthritis. This morning, it dawned on me that this seemed to have started (or worsened) around the time I went all animal. Any correlation? (I really don't think it's gout, btw.)

Jumping in late here. Had been successfully keto for over a year and then about a month ago lost it. Going to go all animal in hopes of zapping the cravings that are now in charge of me. Won't miss the veggies, but I'm a fool for sugar.. hope this helps, I'm feeling a little out of control at the moment. I miss the simplicity of my keto plan, and how it works for me. Really need to dig deep for the resolve to get this done before I undo all my progress.
    Have a great day, pals!

Went to a place known for it's amazing cocktails (Bali Hai on Shelter Island in San Diego) ... volunteered to be the designated driver so I wouldn't be tempted to imbibe.

    LOL

I am having a hectic week with meetings, a new dog, and now vegetarian in laws are our company. I am back to simply LCHF right now. It is quite low carb but there is a bit of plant matter in there. It doesn't help that I am getting sick too.

These are my excuses. LOL I'll be switching back to AAA on Monday (we're having people over today and I want to eat some avocado with my Mexican meal ;) ).

Had a few beers last night with some friends, and enjoyed some cole slaw with the pork shoulder and deviled eggs today. Other than that I stayed on track this weekend. Weight is up a bit from the beer, but I know that's water. Tomorrow is a planned cheat (not just for the AAA, but just in general- will be having a piece of carrot cake).

I did notice I can't drink as much eating this way. I'm not a big drinker in the first place, but usually can have three or four beers without issues. Had that last night and felt drunk, lol. Woke up with a hangover :(. Maybe it's just having less food in my stomach to "soak up" the alcohol. NBD, I don't drink very often, maybe 2-3 times a month.

Well, I had a bottle of wine last night and ate some green peppers and guacamole with my steak, chicken and shrimp at a Mexican restaurant tonight. They also cook in vegetable oil :(
Other than that, Ive been doing well with following carnivore.

Warning: Sulk n rant momment here then back to a meatier day:

Struggling a bit to get back on track post girls KL trip. Few extra carbs in that trip than my close to zero tollerance policy. I also tried some foods to work out what causes the sinus allergic like reactions. Ripe tomatoes, red apples and coconut macaroons and some bacon, which is depressing!. Now I have desires to eat chocolate n cashews (both also cause sinus issues) and have a sense of depriving myself by just eating meat. TOM so double whammy. I know I feel so much healthier dodging sinus causing foods so meat is great. Feel like a little girl who's been told she is intollerant to most foods she really loves.

Still at it. Yesterday started week 3 for me already. To be honest, it didn't think it would be so easy. I wish it had made a difference on the scale. I went down a couple of pounds in the first week, then right back up. Looking forward to my burgers with butter for lunch. Anyone else still with me?
