Adding a 2.2 mile walk today

May 17: Slowly pulling out of my medical issues. I definitely have some weird virus. I am also no longer able to take Mucinex as it sent my blood pressure through the roof. I am on the mend..and my dr. Took me off the antibiotics as they were of no benefit. My home remedies have been working and I was told that had I done nothing, I would have dealt with a much more serious matter. Thank goodness for a good immune system and lots of exercise and eating right.

Well with a full day of work and a hand bell practice an hour away, I did not get as much walking in as I wanted to. But, having said that, I was able to fit a walk around the block in before work and I found a mall to do a couple of laps around between work and practice, so I was not completely immobile yesterday.

15.3 miles today. I went to a running class this morning and did 3.1 (up every hill in the area), then did some walking around the indoor track before TRX class and took a cycling class (the guy filming the video ride had to be wasted while he was doing it)

May 18: I feel human again. So nice to be back. I managed an easy 5 mile ride today. Am holding off on running till I am up to full steam. Got 7 miles of walking in today.

@scarfe9991: I am feeling your craziness. Oh the stories I could tell of the insanity that is going on in my workplace but no one would believe me except for another teacher. Today, I taught fifth grade math and spelling. I had to handle two major bus issues and a girl said she was going to blow up her home while another girl blurted out..."what a bad *kitten* girl" during her spelling test. That was just a few issues.

I don't want to be a downer, but I got to get this out. Eight years ago today I had to make the hardest decision of my life. In 1998 I rescued a beaten, under weight, abused Thoroughbred. I invested thousands healing his body, mind and spirit. For over 7 years he was a champion in the show ring, he was a school master, taught many youngsters how to jump and show horses for the first time. He made champions out of many riders in his 10 year career. Then there was an accident and he over stressed the right front hoof. Within 4 weeks it went from injury to fatal. He developed Laminitis if the foot, and it was spreading to his other feet. I had to make the decision to put him down. And on this day 8 years ago I said goodbye to my best friend. I miss him to this day. Horses have been my life for as long as I can remember. There will never be another like him so I had decided that he would be the last horse I would own. But I have 2 horses in my current stable....Frankenbike (MTB) and The Princess (road bike). Not as exciting as riding jumpers in a show, but I am content. This picture is the day before he was put down. We had won those ribbons just 2 months before.

Walked w/DH and Bean this morning then got on the recumbent for 45 mins and an episode of Lucifer then went to 1st grade and worked really, really hard then hit the gym w/DDD and our trainer for an hour. ...ZZzzzzz

Had a slow start yesterday morning, but I made up for it in the afternoon and evening. Added 5 miles for a may total of 73 miles.
@anaconda469 He is a beauty and I know you miss him. I'm glad you were able to give him 10 wonderful years and make that awful decision to not let him suffer needlessly. You were both lucky to have each other.0 -
