Which form of magnesium is good for sleep as well, I'm taking mag citrate for the irregular bowels and it's working a treat but I am wide awake at night even with a prescribed sleeping tablet zopliclone 7.5mg. I'm so tired but just can't sleep.
I am going back to my doctor tomorrow but he doesn't want me on sleeping tablets anyway so doubt he's going to be very helpful.

I don't sleep either and I'm on 2 sleeping pills a night. I've read a lot about the magnesium glycinate....I think that's what it's called but I can't find it locally so I'm going to have to order it online. I've also read that 5-htp will help with sleep so I'm going to try that one as well. Good luck....not sleeping sucks!

Mag glycinate is good for sleep.
Check out this link for info on the various benefits of the different forms.

If you're using 5-htp, make sure you use L-Tyrosine, too... "a combination of L-tyrosine and 5-htp in a ratio of 10 to 1" per this source. http://carbsyndrome.com/is-your-brain-two-quarts-low/
