My goal is two miles in under an hour.
And swim a 200 backstroke without feeling like I am going to drown!1 -
I've signed up for three open water mile events this summer, and I'm hoping to get well under 30min in a wetsuit. I'm also hoping for better technique: spotting the bouys and staying on course.
I have access to a 50m pool and my local pond (brrr). My approach has been to swim 3 times a week, which is a compromise to my aging shoulder. I also do some weights, cycling, and jogging. I like to train at about 1.5miles, mixed drill.
I haven't found the perfect sprint triathlon yet, but I hope to do one with at least a .5mi swim.0 -
