@clepant - what a wonderful analogy "running in a fishbowl", so very apt. You have my sympathy on the humidity . . . . running becomes such hard work. Enjoy your summer.
@vhuber - take care of yourself - pneumonia isn't good!
@anaconda - my goodness, that is HOT
We're coming to the end of a two week heatwave here (but not @anaconda hot), and humidity is still quite high.
ETA: I camped in Sherwood Forest at the weekend, surrounded by small children bearing crudely made bows and long staffs playing Robin Hood. It was much cooler there than at home!!0 -
I hadn't put in my goal yet, but I'm in for 100 again next month please, and am up to 15 as of this morning.
I also wanted to thank you all for the encouragement and motivation, whether it's intentional or not! Just knowing all of you are moving miles regardless of other things going on in your lives really helps me I honestly had a rough month (some work issues and major stress affecting some health issues). Anyway, I'm trying to get my mojo back now that I'm off for summer. So I plan to get back on board checking in more often as well.
Here's to a great June!0 -

I feel for ya anaconda! That is way to hot for this time of year! We are in upper 90's this week too & with the antibiotic for my walking pneumonia I am not to be in the sun!
I did get in a nice nap after church today then I pulled my winter clothes for storage & got out the summer ones, did laundry & got some house cleaning done. I walked 3 miles before 7 a.m. with the fur babies & did 30 on the ex bike while watching Flea Market Flippers.

Yesterday was a good day for walking. We had a couple of cooler days this weekend that certainly made it easier. The only challenge was the rainstorm that caught my husband and I when we were out on the bike path, about a mile from any shelter. (We knew it was coming, we just thought it would get there a little later). And, of course, it stopped right as we got back to the car. Made for a soggy ride home.
Added 5.75 miles for a June total of 25.25 miles.
Have a great Monday, and for those of you who are finally on summer break, relax and enjoy for a while, I know it won't be long before you start preparing for next year.0 -

I hope summer gives you a chance to recoup and rejuvenate.0 -
First day of my summer break and I was up and running this morning. Hope to alternate biking with running and do strength training on rain days. It was such a great day. Humidity dropped and there was a wonder breeze all day with clear blue skies. A rarity here in PA. I could live for this weather every day but I know it will not last.
June 6: 11.25 miles of running 5.25 miles and walking 6 miles.
