Ohhhh Myyyy Goodness! The 2 oldest grandsons have been with us since Monday. They are soooooo busy. It has been HOT so the kiddie pool has been used, the 4 wheeler has been ridden & soooo many other things done that city people think are fun on a farm. The oldest shot a rattle snake with his little 22 rifle. We don't get rattle snake to terribly often right here at the farm but every so often & it was his lucky day. I crash at night I'm sooo exhausted. Still having some lung issues so I'm thinking a chest Xray will be happening when the antibiotics are up. Hoping not but...
In the last 2 days it has been 5 miles walking with 22 miles on ex bike.

Today's my oldest daughter's 26th birthday. How do they get so old when we don't? Still getting some beautiful weather here, so I was able to get out to the nature center and do some hiking. Today looks like our last day of lower humidity, so I hope I can spend most of the day outside. Added 4 miles (and lots of hills) for a June total of 42.5 miles.

Checked the weather, storms headed our way. Dressed in tights, full on rain jacket, neoprene shoe covers, got the heavy MTB ready, checked radar again, then set off. So now I am riding and ready for crappy weather. And........wait for it.......NOTHING FREAKING HAPPENED! Got a spritz with 5 mins to go. Did some cool stuff though, rode a gravel stretch with big gravel, cut through the park rode over tree roots like a pump track and hopped off a curb. So it was a good, if not sweaty ride in all that needless gear and heavy bike.

The cool weather hit with low humidity. I actually wore long sleeves for my run yesterday and my hands got cold. Needed long sleeves for my ride today. The humidity is coming back but the last two days reminded me of northern Michigan weather at our lake property. Wish I were there watching sunrises and sunsets.

I think they meant you never forget how to fall off a bike.1 -

I can vouch for that, falling off a bike is my specialty. That is why I get most of my miles walking.2 -
Speaking of my bike, I'm frustrated. The bike is in the back of the van, ready to go for a long bike trail ride and now the radar has storms coming in the next hour. My (lack of) skill level means I won't be dressing for the weather and taking my chances anyway like anaconda369. Not in the mood for a visit to the ER today. Sigh, there is always tomorrow.
Yesterday was beautiful, but I ended up seeing most of it while driving between offices. Had time for a nice morning walk though and watched about half of a soccer game while burning off energy on the treadmill. Added 5 miles for a June total of 47.5 miles.
@sufferlandrian OK, I am officially jealous. Thanks for the beautiful pictures.0 -
