The bin is a good place for all the carb stuff that calls your name. When I decided to go full out Keto this last time I packed up all my carb laden foods and gave it to my daughter. She's raising one husband and two teenage sons on a farmstead. Those boys can, and do, eat anything and everything without gaining an ounce. Even so, I had guilt over aiding and abetting their consumption of carbs.

Me, too, Jane! I packed them up and gave to my son, who was ecstatic to get them... feel slightly guilty because if I didn't want to eat them, should I have foisted them off on him? BUT, they're out of my cupboard and won't be restocked. Defensive move #1 :)

My skinny high metabolism hubs and son have been more than happy to eat all my carbs...

Hey just a thought, does anyone eat back carbs if they haven't eaten what they set themselves in the week for example I've set my carb goals to 25g a day and I've say eaten 128 so far, so in my calculation my weekly mpf goal is 175, so if say you were struggling and fancied something really carby at the end of the week as a treat would you eat it but still stay within your weekly goal ignore the urge and struggle through.
What a great question! I am new here (and only in my first week of LCHF). So, I think I'ld stay away from the extras at the end of the week......I think for me it would lead to a binge! What I have done this week is look at my protein and calories while aiming to keep my carbs under 30, and at the end if the day, if my protein and calories are too low I add a little something. Still haven't got it fine tuned, yet. Trying to make new habits.

Well I resisted and managed to keep my carbs to under 20 in the end yesterday, think I will throw the crisps in the bin so they aren't there staring at me when I open the cupboard anymore lol.

Since my family ist not following this WOE I still buy all that other stuff. I keep anything carb loaded in a cabinet in the dining room. There is nothing in there I need for anything. Not to grab my own snack or to make a meal. I never see the carbs once they are home. I swore by that when I started because I wanted them duo I avoided the cabinet all together. Now I forget it's even there. Nothing in there I want.

I'm always too full with this WOE to try to "stuff" carbs into my body.

Try not to worry about what you " don't eat".

If I'm occasionally wanting something during the evening, ...... a cup of beef or chicken bouillon , very satisfying!
