@kathrout1973 Good luck as you continue your journey. You are not alone! ZC sounds like it works best for you at the moment.

@kathrout1973 You know you have a lot of people routing for you as you get to where you want to be. And, yes, you are inspiring others (at least me) to be more diligent with our choices. Keep on keeping on and you'll be fine. Remember, only you decide what passes your lips. Not your mum, not your family, NO ONE except you. Then don't let anything past your lips that may make you feel horrid or bloated or guilty. You'll be fine as long as you put yourself first.

Feeling great again today hardly any stomach pain been back on track now for 3 days - hopefully it will stick this time

The only thing that has made some slight discomfort has been some cheese - so think I need to give that a break for a while

Thanks for sharing your story! Glad you are feeling better. I plan on going ZC next week. I need to finish up some things in my fridge ;) I think I should give up cheese too. I really love it, but I think I need to focus on some good quality fatty meats and see how that goes. I finally can tolerate coconut oil so I will drink my BPC in the morning, then just eat meat the rest of the day.

I have noticed cheese and smoked bacon seem to be a problem for me now so going to keep away from these for a while, might try adding them in when my body feels more comfortable and see if they still cause problems - I love ribeye steaks they seem to be the best for me, but also Lamb leg steaks are great too - I have noticed pork isn't brilliant - but I am still testing new things all the time - my definite go to's are beef and lamb at the minute.

I feel like I am back on plan properly again and starting to feel much better had a slight issue last night after eating some very crispy smoked bacon but the weight I put on last week is dropping off again which is fantastic (I am currently weighing daily).

I am definitely finding not logging everyday is helping me, as I am not focussing on numbers but on how my body is feeling which is helping me mentally deal with the emotional eating I have always struggled with - as long as I keep eating meat when I feel hungry this should stop all emotional eating issues (I hope)

@kathrout1973 -- I am glad you have found your way. Your positive posting is quite encouraging. I may try the Zero Carb in August, see how it goes for me.
    Keep at it!! B)

I am really happy with how ZC July has gone and have decided I am going to stick with this WOE for the foreseeable future - there may be an odd day or two where I will allow slightly higher carb things in but these will be infrequent and planned.

I have also thought about what to do for August as a mini challenge and have decided that I am not going to weigh for the whole of August, so my final weigh in will be tomorrow morning and then I am going to pack the scales away until September this will be helpful anyway as I am likely going to be moving in August anyway and I will be away for 10 days too so hopefully won't feel like my arm has been cut off by not weighing.

I have always been ruled by my scale when I should be listening to my body and not stressing about what I weigh, I know now that when I ZC my body feels better anyway so its time not to worry too much about the weightloss just focus on the health benefits and the weight loss can take care of itself.

It's truly amazing how well you are doing with this. I find the fact that you are doing well without antidepressants the most amazing part of this. A lot of people don't realize how truly feeling happy in life is such an important role in success.

Are people happy with their weight loss doing ZC? Wondered if anybody would be willing to share.

I am loving ZC not just for the weight loss although for me that is going really well - there are some who don't lose to begin with but its just their body healing - in July I have lost just under 14lbs although some of this is definitely water weight and I did have a little blip in the middle so have ended up putting some on and losing it again - the huge benefits for me have been how I have felt both physically and mentally

I'm happy with my weight loss mostly because it's positively impacting my blood sugars :) And I don't feel deprived at all. I do get cravings here and there but I'm learning to distinguish real hunger from just "mind"hunger. Lchf is a win/win for me :-)

I've been primarily ZC for right at 15 months now. My weight loss has been a steady (plateaus happen with every woe) downward trend. I'm 7 pounds from my initial goal weight! I feel wonderful!

Congratulations @kathrout1973 !! You have ROCKED on ZC!! I'm so happy for your accomplishments!! I look forward to hearing about more of your success!!

When I did it last year, I wasn't happy with it.

    I was thrilled.

For the first time in -- I kid you not -- years, I was actually losing weight! Between the end of April and the beginning of July, I lost something like 20-25lbs with no signs of stopping. For the first time pretty much ever, I actually averaged a nearly 1.5lb per week loss!

Then, I made the mistake of getting back on Metformin after talking with my endo. A month of detrimental food aversions and weight gain later, I went off the Metformin. I've been recovering from that ever since and trying to get back to the zero carb zen I had going on last year.

My ideal seems to be primarily bison (especially from a particular local farm) with some pork, though I can handle beef to a degree (still doesn't seem to taste quite right :( ).

Not being able to get that bison has made things a fair bit more difficult (again, because the other meats and meats from other sources don't taste right on their own, so I have to doctor them to really be able to eat them like that), but I've recently found good old fashioned bulletproof coffee (like, the original recipe of coconut oil and butter, and nothing else) to be a godsend. I found coffee with which I can do it without anything else added, and I don't even start getting hungry until around 4pm and even then, it's more of a "hey, I should probably eat something" type of thing.

@kathrout1973 Thank you for sharing your ZC progress. I do best when I keep things (foods) simple and can see where focusing on ZC with an occasional carb thrown in might be beneficial for me on many levels. I'm glad it is working for you!

I have almost transitioned to ZC. I just find it hard to eat enough. I get so full from meat. I also drink BPC and I love it! I DREAM about it! Just crazy! I do notice more.. uh hum... bathroom issues not eating veggies. I am sure things will adjust after a bit.
Congrats @kathrout1973! ZC seems to agree with you!
