Do I HAVE to do strength training?? Yes I have a few videos, but I LOATHE doing them. I hate it. Seriously. I much prefer walking over ANY other exercise and have kept up with walking for 3 years effortlessly.

There's no "Ugh. Gotta go walking again. " It's more like a "It's raining?! Nooooooo! But I want to go walk!!!! "

I am weak in my upper body. But I can never keep up with strength for more than a few weeks because I HATE it. Lifting, bodyweight, aerobics, HIIT even. HATE HATE HATE!!!!

Do the exercise you like. Other activities will follow if you need them. E.g., I started cycling really long distances. Am adding yoga and a bit of core strength stuff to make my riding better (posture, core). You may find that when you get the hang of walking, you'll go looking for other activities that are functional in that context. Just follow your interests.

I should look into taking up archery... Wouldn't that be a fun hobby. And it would sort of force me into it since you need a bit of upper body strength for a bow. Mm.

lots of upper body strength in fact and good core strength too. Sounds good!

Slingshot.... get one that braces against your arm or you won't get much power. It is the BEST way to get rid of crows, magpies and squirells in a residntial area. ;)

Yeah, no. Not much of a workout though.

And the backstabby thing would fit very very well with the viking group. LOL

So - is there a Low Carb Geek board here somewhere? Because there's a whole lot of that going on here.

We have one here too! It's not that far, either. It's medieval themed...

The Vikings put on a show at a Heritage/history fair that my kids competed in. Afterwards they gave the kids cut up pool noodles and did battle with a few dozen kids. Totally epic!

My middle kid is off to the right wearing camo. He did his on the evolution of Canadian warfare (and won a few awards too. :) )
