@anaconda469 and just_ceci: Did either of you get sent t wound care specialist. My GP did not help my dad when he cut his arm. We took him to a wound care specialist who worked on treating his arm for weeks. My dad has a blister burn from the heating bag and if it does not start improving, I am taking him back there. They were fabulous.
I haven't been to one. I think mine is getting better, as long as I don't bump into things. Clumsy!0 -

Adding 24 miles for 170 out of 200.
My math is terrible after a hard workout. How about 169 for the last one. Adding another 12 today for 181 out of 200. Now going to have to go back and check the rest of my math.

Dave you might not be here yet, but I had some time on that walk to remember some great things about my own dad and how lucky I was to have him as long as I did. Hard to believe it's been almost 2 years.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, Dave. My thoughts are with you and your family.
I'm in for the extra mile too.0 -
Oh WOW....I came here to give @JANET a TON of kudos for some miracles she performed on the spreadsheet to make daily & monthly maintenance a breeze.....and then to get caught up on the thread.....and I am completely blown away. Speechless. My eyes might even be a little leaky. I'm grateful for all of the love and support from each of you. I don't have the words to adequately explain just how touched I am. You are the best.
Long story short, and I saw that Janet was helping keep you all updated on me in my absence (thanks again, @JANET) but our family has been getting through this by taking one day at a time. It has also helped that one of my brothers that we haven't seen or talked to much in 15 years (another long story) came into town and we've been having a really fantastic time getting caught up and resolving not to waste another 15 years.
I went and got a workout in today and added 6.0 miles on the stationary bike. I don't really know how you're updating the spreadsheet for me and all, so I'll let you add those however you're doing it.
Thank you again @Janet and everyone else for being so wonderful, kind and caring during this rough time. It really means a lot to me.

For 18 months of burn care (not a burn), wound care (originally never an open wound), Tegaderm patches, specialty burn patches, gels, Silvasorb, Bacitracin, Neosporin and the list goes on. It is on the top of my shoulder so my clothes constantly irritate the wound so only 1 very thin layer of skin has come back. My Primary, the wound care clinic, all told me that bandaging would prevent proper healing. Well Tuesday they finally gave up. Then the Dermatologist told me we can try one more thing, Mederma cream and constant bandaging for 90 days, if that fails then its skin graft time. So I have gone round and round with this.
Yikes! I sure hope this new effort works. My dad's issue is similar in that keeping it bandaged is not allowing it to heal and he needs it covered as it is on the center of his back. He kept turning. The heating pad back on and burnt his back.0 -
