    It was 1 degree here in suburban Kansas City this am. And windy. Thankfully it's too cold for the snow to melt at all (and then refreeze) so the driving isn't too challenging. We'll get a full melt in a couple of days.

    I don't know that cold weather poses any greater challenge for me than any other kind of weather. I am stuck in the house more which increases the boredom eating opportunities. But the only consistently warm place in my house is beneath an electric blanket and among the many things we do not do in bed, EVER, is eat. So, potentially 'heartier' food is counterbalanced by less boredom eating.

    -6 in beautiful downtown Los Anchorage. It's been so mild the past few years we aren't used to this. Hopefully can redevelop some north slope tuffness.
