Many people, maybe even most, find reversal of pre diabetes, improved cholesterol and fibromyalgia and chronic pain eating low carb high fat with zero grains and only low sugar fruit like avocado.

Read through here and you'll see some examples of what you may be able to accomplish in less than a year low carb.

Sunny Bunny gave some good suggestions. You may also want to try an elimination diet to see how you do (eliminate all grains and fruits for a few weeks, then re-introduce them one at a time to see how your body reacts). Did your lipid consultant give you any specific foods to avoid? Any meal plans?

I had high cholesterol and once I kicked the crappy store-bought stuff like powdered coffee creamer, cookies/crackers, and fake cheeses, mine went down a bit, but never got this good/low before a few months into keto. Fruit is something I sometimes miss, but I enjoy a few low carb berries in summer (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries/raspberries) and some cranberries in winter. As for fibromyalgia, I think you will enjoy keto/LCHF way of eating, as it is very anti-inflammatory! My high blood pressure also went down, and my diabetes numbers are much lower and I'm off my oral and injected meds. Welcome.
