Menopause has been an adventure.... While I was peri....it was one thing. Now that I've "paused", the scale officially crept past the +-5 comfort zone, so I'm going back to a pretty strict, lowish carb, phase 1. Starting 2/4/17. Wish me luck.

    Thanks for joining me!

I got super organized. I bought diced chicken and frozen salmon fillets, frozen shrimp, cubed some tofu, and a wack of frozen vegetables. Monday and tuesday's zip lock bags are ready to take to work and heat lunch there.
If I get motivated, I'll bag the rest of the week. Tomorrow and Tuesday are chicken with soy sauce and chile garlic paste. I'm thinking salmon, green beans and pesto for wednesday. Tofu and peas (in a sort of curry sauce) for thursday, I think.

I also roasted some shishito peppers like they serve at Cali Pizza Kitchen to have as a snack.

The one egg over the don lee patty was an awesome breakfast, so I'll likely do that again tmw.

Hubs is leaving town tmw and promised to make me a dozen braised eggs for snacks.

I admire you two. I would have no problem skipping the bread--go figure, since bread/pasta is my favorite food group--but losing the fruit would be very difficult for me.

So far so good...but I am not opposed to having some fruit during the week at work...I have sort of painted myself into a corner by no longer taking lunch breaks. Today, yogurt, left over steamed cauliflower, HB egg.

But you know...I do feel better without all the bread pasta and rice and potatoes...I need to focus on this part of the trip...how one feels.

Join in, Silver, just keep your fruit in there. I love seeing posts during the day to keep me motivated. I do not do facebook.

I did see the scale go down the past two days. But for all my jeans to fit for vacation, I need to lose ten pounds this month. So no goof ups at all. (I do not want to buy a larger size...no no no!)

    Please join us!

For me it's my nightly glass of wine that's hard.... I'm giving it my best! And, knowing there's a happy hour or two coming up, I've told myself that every night with wine means one more day on phase 1.

Thanks! I made the five lunches on sunday. And last night while making dinner I thought: just make two. HA.
Hubs braised all the eggs for me before he left.
The almonds are in snack bags, all counted out.
And the frittatas were in the freezer. Couldn't be easier!

It's more of a muffin, really.

But hubs makes them in the cast iron skillet.

Ok...done for the night cept the tea and baby bels...me, too...spot on. My diary is open to see.

Getting into bed at 7:30 again so I do not eat...making tea to soothe...then if I have to ...which I most probably will ... the baby bels.

I will say I feel so much better when I eat like this...gosh, why don't I remember this when I go off the tracks...grrr.

Very happy we did a reboot. Lots of stressful decisions looming and much easier to deal when my head is clear from crap food. So Yay and thanks, Sabine!
