You all are doing amazing. I LOVE reading all these, from new clothing sizes to crossing your legs (oh yes, I can relate) to how we stand and are positioned doing every day things, and running and moving, changing habits and making progress. You guys are fantastic. So inspirational to read all the things that are evolving for everyone. Keep it up, lets do this!6

On Friday my total running time was up to 7 minutes! In one-minute increments with walk breaks between.
I wasn't feeling well yesterday so I didn't run, but I'm hoping to hit 8 minutes tomorrow--and then I can start reducing my walk breaks! I'll be ready for Couch to 5k in no time!6 -
Today I went exploring through my closet looking for something to wear that wasn't excessively baggy due to weightloss - NSV number 1. Found a pair of jeans I've had for 3 years and never worn because I could just about button them, on a good day could zip them my lying down flat but could never sit down in because waaaay too tight. Decided to try them on. Not only did they button and zip with ease but they were even baggy on the thighs and butt - NSV number 2!!5

I didn't recognise it at the time, but I had a great nonscale victory last night. I went to my sister's house to watch a movie with her and her family, and they had ordered a ton of pizza.
Pizza has always been my main binge food. I can never stop at a reasonable amount of pizza, but I did it! I had some salad, one piece of each kind of pizza, and one piece of cheese bread.
I got pizza sauce on my white shirt, but other than that, it was a great victory and I'm proud of myself!
That shirt's too big for me now, anyway.6 -
I neglected to mention that by "one piece of each kind of pizza" I meant TWO SLICES OF PIZZA. I only ate two pieces??!3

I noticed my jeans were a bit looser today!3

So awesome to read about everyone's NSVs and inspiring! You're all moving more, showing discipline, reclaiming clothes and in need of smaller ones! That is simply fantastic, so proud of you guys and I always look forward to reading these.
For me, my NSV this weekend was when we went to the movies and I noticed how roomy the seats were for me. One of things I felt so uncomfortable with was that I would be "outside" the armrests, in theaters or on airplane seats, etc. But now, I fit comfortably inside the armrests with room to spare. I was even able to sit with my legs crossed the entire movie. I didn't even notice I had been doing that until my husband pointed it out in the car afterwards. He said, "I noticed your legs were crossed the whole movie when you used to not sit like that ever." He also said something about how my legs looked but that shall remain between husband and wife! hehehe.3 -

I had a half hearted attempt to log calories yesterday. Big Easter dinner with family. Probably went over calorie wise, but don't think by very much. I ate really small portions of my favorites and ate slowly. Noticed that I was very full and still had plenty of food left on my plate. The big NSV for me was recognizing that I was full and stopped. Old me would have plowed thru all that food and asked for more.4
-
Me too! If I had spent a year carefully logging all the items brought by all the different people, I would have learned that I went a little over. I chose not to stress about it. But I definitely ate better and less than I would have!
I'm proud of you and proud of myself!3 -
It's a strange feeling at first to be like "I am not hungry why am I eating." I was always taught to finish my plate or face punishment. Pretty awesome when you can stop in between being satisfied and full!2

The kids have been doing some extra school work. Some to catch up and some to get ahead and finish school early this year. I made them root beer floats, i gave them 2 - 3 scoops of ice cream and and the soda and there was ice cream left over. They asked what I was going to do with it, and I smiled and walked over to the garbage and tossed it. My NSV is not only that I tossed it, but also that the kids are used to me throwing away extra portions of sugar and are not even surprised anymore.2

Warm weather is finally approaching here in NW PA so it was time to do some yard work. Searched my closet for my "gardening clothes", put them on, walked out into the bedroom and my husband laughed when the pants slid down my legs and around my ankles - guess it's time to invest in some new gardening clothes.3
-
that had to be a great feeling, kimbermak!
My NSV is also related to clothes: I have to wear FR clothing at work when I go out to substations (I work for the power company). Now I have to buy mens clothes because they have a very narrow selection of womens and nothing in my size, and to get the men's clothes to fit, I have to buy about 3 sizes bigger than what I'd normally wear just to get enough room in the seat (men apparently don't have butts!) I will also wear a belt.
Well, the pants that I was wearing have gotten so big that they are baggy like clown pants on me, so I had to go to my boss this week to get permission to order 2 new pair of pants the next size down - and I think I can almost get into 2 sizes down. And I've noticed that I'm pulling the belt so tight that I'm getting it through its own loop and 2 other loops on the pants. That was a very good problem to have!4 -

That is a great problem to have. I have been ordering men's size jackets when my boss buys them for the staff and I think not only do men not have butts, but their arms are twice as long as ours!!!

I agree! I must be somewhere in the middle, though - when I buy a woman's long sleeve shirt, the sleeves are still too short and I have to unbutton the cuff and safetypin it to give me a little more room, and the sleeve rides up my arm more like a 3/4 length shirt.
When I buy men's long sleeve shirts, though, such as for work, I usually have to roll the cuff at least once because they are so long! And I'm buying men's TALL shirts, too, because I want my shirts to be at least mid-thigh and that way, if they shrink over time, they don't end up too short. I don't know why women's t-shirts have to be so short. I'll buy a woman's t-shirt and if I raise my arms for any reason, it rides up past my belly button!1 -
I'm wearing pants today from the back of my closet. I'd forgotten I'd even put them there! I don't know why I quit wearing them...but I'm sure it was because they were snug. They're perfect now. I also pulled out a pair of dressy jeans I KNOW I quit wearing because they were too tight. They're still too snug for comfort....but I was surprised I could get them on rather easily. Someone at the office today told me she could tell I'd lost weight. I had no idea it was noticeable. All that walking must be paying off.6

It is nice when someone notices and comments, isn't it? I've got a couple of friends who will comment when they see me; the only problem is, though, that they are nice ladies who know I've been trying, and they've told me I looked like I'd lost weight back when I had actually gained, so I'm not so sure I can trust their evaluation lol
But it's still a nice feeling!
It takes a while, though, before it starts to show on me. My brother and I both carry our weight very well; we don't look nearly as heavy as we actually are. The problem with that is that weight loss doesn't show up as well on us, either. That's why I need these NSV's to keep me motivated; I see the numbers dropping on the scale, but I don't see any difference when I look in the mirror.

Ok mental victory here... we hiked at yosemite state Park over a week ago, ate out, etc. But I stayed in calorie range. Then easter sodium and not healthiest choices, but still stayed under my calories. But the last 2 weeks my weight shot up 4 lbs. Just this morning it is finally getting back to what it was almost 20 days ago. Part of me wants to say my weight loss goals for April are shot. But (here is the nsv) I have not let myself give up. In the past this kind of setback would result in extra calories or just not good emotions. Everyday I keep saying, I am doing this, it is a lifetime commitment to being healthy regardless of what the scale says. And it WILL go down, I trust the process.5

a little NSV for me today: I was in an all day meeting at work today, but I managed to avoid the donuts! I didn't even get a half a one - each time I found myself lifting the lid, I managed to walk away Lunch was provided - jimmy john subs - and while I did eat one, because it was 500 calories per sub, I did not eat any of the chips either. I'm slightly over my calorie goal today, but not by much - and I'll take that as a victory because it could have been much worse!7

Some might argue that this is not a victory, but to me it is! I HAVE WRINKLES! I'm 34 and people always think I'm in my early 20s. I always tell them I look young because my fat fills out my wrinkles, and they laugh because they think I'm kidding.
Well who's laughing now? I swear I have wrinkles on my face that weren't there yesterday. Laugh lines around my eyes! Like my dad's!
I'm finally going to look my age when I'm done. Now if only my grey hairs would multiply...3 -

That's really awesome, good for you!

Two for me today:
1. My pre-pregnant self trainers were comfortable today, not too tight.
2. My "I'll just hold it round me" casual padded jacket now zips up! It's still tight so I did still wear it unzipped, but this is a nice move in the right direction!5 -
Due to my lifestyle, i eat out a lot. It's hard to keep on track, but I'm learning.
Today I ate out for 2 meals, did not feel deprived and still came in under calories. I am getting better at this!!

I am able to breathe better. The fat around my neck is slowly but surely leaving and I can breathe! It is amazing!
Today I put on a shirt that two months ago was very uncomfortable and tight on me - today it is a little loose and feels great! So exciting that these things are happening!5 -
Congratulations ayane!
I was standing in a public bathroom this morning and while waiting for an opening, saw my reflection in the full length mirror beside me and noticed for the first time that I could see a difference in how my clothes looked on me-I looked thinner, at least to me, anyway. Course, the mirror was a little warped so it could have just been an optical illusion but it made me feel better to think I was seeing a difference!6 -
I do not 'see' the difference so to speak, however when I open my dresser and try on something different and it actually fits, I do a little happy dance.2

Until last Sept I was a daily swimmer and I've gone back, after a 6 month break, to 3-4x a week. I'm seeing the same ladies in a shower or swimsuit a lot and over time. Today, while i'm nude, a woman tells me how she can really see the difference in my body. It was a great feeling because I know she was being honest and really noticing something she sees over time. It was also odd, but lets focus on the awesome part.7

Yesterday, I had to put the wedding band I upsized to back in the jewelry box and put on a smaller ring! That has never happened before! ~~•dancing•~~7
