@kar328 - look after that Achilles and heal quickly.
@Dave - happy days - treasure them (spring springing helps)

Struggled in the middle of my run tonight - I think it's because I'd not eaten for about 6 hours .... I normally eat about 90/120 mins before I run. However .... it was 3 mins faster than when I ran the route in January.

@k80flec: Take it as a win. I bonked once during a long training run. Not enough gas in the tank. I have an idea what the wall feels like. I now carry a Honey Stinger with me. It is like goo but not a wade of thick paste. I also take a tablespoon of real honey in a double sandwich bag. I knot it closed and tuck it in my sports bra. I pull it out at around 40 mins. for some added energy.

@Dave: Amen for happy days. I started work at 7, went to a meeting at 8, worked through the morning, had a false lock down, skipped lunch, taught my two classes, went to a meeting at 3 and actually got home at 4:15 for the first time in months. I went out in my gardens and did clean up for two hours and thought I died and went to heaven. I did not look at one thing for work. It was just refreshing to not look at or worry about one thing. I am feeling your happy day.

@ kar: Having sympathy pain for you.... Yikes!

@KAR328 - I bet one of those hard or soft "night splints" like people use for plantar fasciitis would really give you some relief too! It would keep your foot flexed at night so that the tendon doesn't have time to tighten up while you sleep. Also doing some calf raises on some stairs to stretch and strengthen, when your body is up to it again and your pain has subsided and allows it. It's a good preventative exercise.

And thanks everyone...it was a nice day all around! Glad you got to have a special one too, @CLEPANT! Hope many more of you shared in it as well.

Thanks for the good thoughts and exercise suggestions. My leg felt pretty pain free when I woke up, I'm still feeling it on and off, but it's not as intense as the past few days. I have a session with my trainer tomorrow, she has issues with her own so she'll know what I shouldn't try. Work tomorrow night will be the big obstacle.

Took myself out for a 3.4 mile walk.

March 22: Adding 10.5 miles today of walking 5.5 miles and cycling 5 miles.

Barely got some cycling in because of school work. Looking forward to the temps in the 70's this weekend and actually spending time with my dad. I feel like I get him going in the morning, leave for work, come home and feed him in the evening and the day is over. I am sure he is feeling lonely these past few weeks with my crazy work schedule.
