Here we go!
Spring is around the corner.

This group is open to any and all walkers. However you get your walk in, come on in and join us! Post your miles or minutes that you have walked, however you did it... it is all good!

Set your personal goal for how many miles or minutes that you want to walk, indoors or out, this month. This is your own personal goal :star:. Post your results daily, weekly, or whenever you like. It is such an encouragement to read each others' posts.

If you find this challenge in the middle of the month it doesn't matter which day of the month that you join in. Just set your goals to reflect what you want to walk for the remaining days in the month. You are always welcome :) !

So, if you are new to the group please feel free to start today so that by the end of the month you will be that much closer to your health goals. It is never too late to join in

Tie up those walking shoes and get some water, and let's start walking :smile: !

    I didn't do that great in February, however I was impressed that I got as many steps in while on vacation. Too bad there was so much food!

    March is going to be a challenge, I have income tax to do for several people and our company. My volunteer jobs require a little bit of work, which requires a little bit of sitting. I will really have to get my steps and weight training in early in the day. My goal is to lose 10 pounds by the end of the year so that I can partake in the Million Pound Mission at our Canadian TOPS chapters

    Lovely start to the month, dear Lilymay. Thank you.

    My goal for this month is 120 miles.

    February, I made 98 miles. I will do better this month, even though I am not off to the best start.

    My little 14 year old rescue, Ernestine, is pretty far along with kidney disease. There are moments when she is as normal as she can be and the only way you can tell she is sick is if you look at her labs or the wet bed in the morning.

    She had been going for sub cutaneous daily (we see the vet today and will have labs drawn and see where we are)*...after a two day stint in the hospital with IVs to flush her kidneys only gave her a brief downward spike in her numbers.

    I am heartbroken. We are buying a home in a 55 + beautiful place...four miles from work...with loads and loads of lawns with fountains and ... GOLF COURSES...two of those. Perfect for walking that girl of mine. I pray she has a good quality of life and makes to our new home. THAT is my goal.

    I will be working on decluttering the entire place before we move, May 1st.

    *I just started her on Kidney Support drops, Thursday, from petwellbeing.com A Canadian company. Fingers crossed. Found it one night when looking for anything that would help.

    Majic, I really do hope that girl of yours makes it to your new home, it sounds lovely and I'm sure she would enjoy it.

    My March goals are to eat better and lose at least 3 pounds - then I get to treat myself to a new outfit. My step goal is to reach goal everyday (17.5K) and doing some cross fit type workouts 3 times a week.

    Thank you for all the good wishes for my sweet Ernestine. Today I go back to work, after taking my vacation at a moment's notice. I have been off since last Tuesday.

    She has stopped losing weight...she is eating ... and goes for walks...no throwing up and no diarrhea ... she goes for sub q fluids daily.

    I am up early to get ready so I can get some food in her. That is the hardest part, finding something that ok pretty ok, that she will eat. But so far, we are handing in there.

    The weather was really nice but it has taken a slight turn back to Winter!!

    I went hiking with some friends, usually we walk this time it was a real hike 3 hrs, but I was glad I was able to keep up with everyone.

    Hello, everyone. I'm new here and hope that by joining, I can get my rear back in gear again. I used to be very active, but a problem with my foot stopped my progress. Before my foot problem, I had lost 35 pounds on MFP, but most of that has been gained back. I've been given the go ahead to start working out, but have to make it a priority again. I just checked my progress on Fitbit's site and I've walked 52.17 miles this month.

    I really like the Exercise Ticker that magic71755 has. I'm going to have to look into that.

    Running total - 73.76 miles - 3/15 days over 10,000 steps.

    Mar 21 - 3.8 miles ...... the temp is not bad but that wind is brutal.

    Sorry everyone I have been missing - way to busy trying to get my income tax papers in order and doing taxes and year end reports for my various volunteer jobs. I also file taxes for seniors.... the only thing that is saving my butt is the World women's curling on TV... I walk on the spot with my hand weights.

    Welcome Carol, come on in. That is great that you are cleared to start working out again. Where do you exercise? Home or at a gym?

    Adc Awesome that you kept up with the other people on your hike!! Way to go!!

    Magic - I think your ticker isn't adding up - but looks like you are getting lots of miles in!!

    Have a great day everyone - I will be walking on the spot and bouncing across my mini trampoline today and watching the freezing rain and snow falling :( .... would rather be walking outside!!

    Lilymay2, Thanks for the welcome. Right now, I exercise at home to a DVD. Once it gets warmer, I can do my walking outside again and rejoin the local YMCA. I love walking on their indoor track.

    So today I looking at my Fitbit Dashboard! So I earned the earth badge on July 1, 2016 that is for 7,900 Lifetime Miles - my 'friend' who started almost 2 years after me earned his in October of 2016 - I'm not sure how I feel about that ;) We are about 1120 miles apart from earning the next badge but I just cut down my step goal again to 13.5K per day because I really want to focus on strength training and not so much walking/cardio. But I am still in it to win it - health that is!

    Welcome aboard CarolPre, we are the opposite - I'm trying to stay in more and workout but I am not sure how long that will last I love being outside walking. San Francisco is such pretty city (crowded), nice and easy to get around by walking.

    I reached my competitive low point :) I did a Workweek Challenge last week and as I left work on Friday at 5:30 being more than 9K steps behind I decided to take a nice walk home so I figured I could catch up some. But I went a step further and set my alarm for 11pm so I could get up and do more steps. Since my competition thought I was so far behind he did nothing and did wind up winning. I admit, my alarm went off but I fell back asleep without getting any real steps ;) He was mad because I won and I was mad because he thought I was so far behind I didn't stand a chance. No more competitions for a while!
