Well if it is stinky cheese, then I can think of a few I would like to rub it all over, but if it is cheddar, mozzarella etc then I totally agree. Just shove it in and enjoy every mouth full.

What I have found is that there is not one food that cannot be replicated (or come very close) to be LCHF. I love pizza and I saw a recipe for making a pizza in a pan, where the cheese becomes the crust! I tried the cauliflower pizza (no go for me). Thats what I really like about this new WOE (see I am getting used to the acronyms) its a pretty cool journey / experimenting with the foods I loved with carbs, now substituting for healthier alternatives. PS: there is no substitute for coffee and I have been living on it more than ever on the LCHF, so forget everything I said.

Are you suggesting I'd have to give something up permanently and forever?? :disappointed: In the short term there's not much I couldn't live without, but I'd be hard pushed to permanently give up all forms of dairy, I did six months vegetarian once, much of it raw and vegan, but not 100% and cheese was the one thing that kept slipping back in. Eating healthy isn't easy for me, I'm a food addict and a stress eater, but I don't feel particularly deprived eating a low carb high fat diet. Avoiding specific foods isn't hard for me, avoiding binge eating and stress eating in general is what I struggle with on a long term basis.

You can't have your cake and eat it, too... but cheese is different.

Okay, ya know what? In gonna be completely honest here: maple iced, cream filled Amish doughnuts. Now, that's like a weeks worth of carbs, so it has to be something ABSOLUTELY kick *kitten* before I can splurge.

    I ate one last week.

But I'm BACK ON TRACK AS OF THIS MONTH GUYS, PLEASE DON'T STONE ME WITH OLD CHEESE!!!!!!!

@SuperCarLori I wouldn't throw old cheese at you, much better to cover you in some cheese porn instead.

Twins - OK to sub heavy cream for whole milk... and maybe a wee spot of Everclear?

I think I'm coming to the realization that there isn't anything I couldn't give up if necessary....lol. I used to think I could never give up pasta or bread and wow was I wrong about that....

That being said I still love my coffee and would be real sad to give it up as well.

    And cheese....

    This.

I have a few, but if I boil it down to one it's my Diet Dew! Everything else is sporadic and controllable, but my daily dew remains.

Diet Coke! I am trying to cut back but fail a lot? I try to keep the 16.9 oz. bottle size and take a couple sips and then I drink a 8 oz. bottle of water. This works sometimes and does not work sometimes? It is a battle for me.

You're better off drinking normal coke.
    Seriously.
So-called 'diet' coke is worse for you than the normal stuff.

    Uh.... beg to differ.
    Diet Pepsi over DC, though.

All Hail HALO TOP!!! I'm so danged happy I found it since iced milk is seriously not the same. Though I have to be careful since I can still eat it like a you know what.

I can't give up my peanut butter. I have switched over to natural peanut butter with no added sugars but I know, I know, legumes are bad. *sigh*

Sugar v. Aspartame, like a great many food choices, is most likely an individual thing.

Sure, I'd prefer stevia, but gimme aspartame over a sugar bomb any day! (Diabetic speaking.)

PS. I might be inclined to block health.com. (See the Official Darwin Awards thread...)

Aspartame makes me physically sick. I cannot abide the flavour, and can detect it where others apparently cannot. Looking at the ingredients, it's there, in small letters....

I can see why you'd block health.com (having seen the thread you indicate) I was merely indicating there are sources out there.... :)

Mind you, I don't buy Diet Coke or anything with aspartame, but if it's aspartame or death (or sugar), well.....

Coffee is life blood (and my appetite suppressant in the morning)
    Cheese/dairy
Avocados are my heros on days I need an easy portable meal...or hefty snack.
Peanut butter (in moderation of course)

My boss buys Zevia to fuel his Coke addiction without the sugar or artificial sweeteners. I haven't tried it, but he swears it's the best. https://zevia.com/

Coffee, cheese, chocolate (though in serious moderation or fat bombs if I'm really craving it and in a pinch), and sweet n low. Yeah, yeah, artificial sweeteners, I know, I've read it all. It doesn't give me trouble so I'm keeping it.

I can live with all the things I have given up from the carb world (and found excellent replacements Zoodles for noodles and I even made keto bread (almond flour egg backing powder butter) in a coffee cup in the microwave in 90 seconds!) but if someone said it's a Keto diet or Coffee. Coffee wins! Everything else is up for negotiations.
