Are nuts considered a junk food? Or just to many? Rugby, yes he can have the muffin. :)

I love to stay home for vacation. Preparing for retirement and all. :) We poured 4 concrete molds tonight. One has a fairy sitting in the middle of flowers. :) Then one was a simple one called fantasy. And two more cap stones. The normal size and a half one in case we need some of the smaller ones. I got my walk in and some weight lifting. Phew.

Well I have to get to bed. Have a great day. :)

Nah, nuts are good for you if you can control them...I can't. I'm better now!

    Your garden sounds beautiful!

Shopped with Sara yesterday. It was fun. No exercise.

Got in T25, 55 minutes on other challenges and 48 minutes on the recumbent today. It's cooled off this evening but it was killer hot when I got home from work. I'm off tomorrow, think I'll walk early.

Well heading for my pillow now! Have a great Friday!

I was way to busy yesterday to get anything done. But it was ok. It cooled off here a bit today also. Took the boys walking. And there were hot air balloons flying all around us! It was fantastic! Then home to mow the yard. The new hood for the tank arrived. It works great. Did a 15 gallon change. I found a place to order my clown fish from. It is in Montana, so that is good. If we could go and pick them out I would be even happier.

Cleaned the garden beds out and poured another cap stone. A great day actually. :) And down over a pound! Did some kettle bells also. Have a great, cooler Sunday.

When do your new fish come in? A bunch of hot air balloons would be a sight...don't think I've ever seen even one.

Went down a pound...went up a pound! Fell off my NO JUNK FOOD wagon last night. The kids came over for dinner and there was ice cream in the fridge. There were other things that ended up in the trash this morning but the ice cream was the big down fall!! Excellent, but it should have stayed at the grocery store. So my challenge starts over today...21 day of NO JUNK FOOD!

Have you seen The New Rules of Lifting for Women? What do you think? I got the book and am reading it now. I'm thinking of trying it...weights one day, walking the next...still thinking.

Got my challenges and T25 done yesterday then the kids came over. Haven't done anything yet today. Bean is here...might just go for a walk.

    Have a great Sunday!

Not totally sure about the fish. Making final choices still. I am so picky! :)

You did so good for over a week! Darn ice cream anyway. I am still rooting for you to make it. :) I went down and up also! We have to stop. Lol

I have heard of it. Just never seen it. But I am in favor of switching it up. :) Keep me posted on what you think of the book.

Final full row of the blocks set in place today! Still making those cap stones. Send me your email and I will send pictures. I worked in the garden today. Dug up some irises and weeded some more. Took the boys walking and did some more research on denitrators for marine aquariums. Also found where I can order a backup emergency pump that runs on batteries! I think I have gone a little over the top lately. I just so do not want to lose any again due to another equipment malfunction! I know things can happen when I am not home, but I want to be better prepared.

Better get to bed, hubby is turning the lights off on me. :p

Funny, my husband does the same thing!!

I'm still working the No JUNK FOOD thing. Talked to the kids and they agreed ...no ice cream for dessert any more...they are such good kids.

I did the first workout from the book. Pretty easy except for the prone jackknife exercise. It uses a big exercise ball...plank position - feet up on the ball - roll the ball toward you head...I immediately slid off the ball onto my knee...glad no one was watching! I ended up using the exercise bench to do jackknife sit up thingys.

Good thing with the pump that runs on batteries. Helps you worry less too.

Worked out for about 85 minutes, chased Bean up and down the hall playing "keep the squeaker toy away from the human" , and rode the recumbent for 44 minutes. Made up for just walking yesterday!

    Got to go...

Lol, hubby are like that. Out with the lights. I got your email. Have been working late the last couple of nights. Tomorrow should be better. Then I can sit down and send you some pictures. They will not self destruct. Lol. I would have done it tonight but I am really slow at doing attachments.

Great job keeping your workouts going! Great energy. :) I managed to get in 20 minutes of a brisk walk in today doing security checks around our buildings and a walk to the library in. This morning I did our 15 burpees challenge before racing off to work.

Saturday I should be getting two premium snowflake clownfish. Excited, they are just about 8 months old. So only a little over an inch right now. So excited.

Glad you are banning ice cream. And that everyone is on board. :) I once was sitting on my exercise ball just goofing off, visiting with my daughter. When suddenly the silly thing jumped out from under me and I fell over backwards and landed on the wall, head first! We both had tears in our eyes, hers from laughing, mine from the bump on my head! Lol

The exercise ball has been moved to the garage. Dumb thing!

Today's been pretty good...I'm on vacation now until the 12th. The kids are going to Disneyland down south, and we're puppy sitting! bwahahahah! Bean for a whole week!

Got my challenges done, and T25 Lower Focus...ugh, squats and lunges from hell, trust me. Then I got on the bike for an hour.

Tomorrow I'm going shopping and to the book store then to the grocery store. I'm going to make a new soup and a really good corn and bean salad. i made a soup last week that turned out a big disappointment. 'Spose it didn't help that I read the recipe wrong and dumped in twice the amount of shredded carrots that it called for...it just didn't make it.

Well, my pillow is calling. TTYL

It's been a good Thursday. Picked up the puppy and made soup. It's my normal rest day and the most I've done is 2.50 miles per my fitbit. Tomorrow the pup and I will do some serious paws to pavement!!

I so hope your vacation with Bean is going awesome. :) I have been working late every night! Driving me nuts. Lol, I really messed up a recipe a few weeks ago myself. Read it wrong. :p. Ordered my fish on lunch break today. They are to be over night delivered. Hope they make it safely. I am way excited. And Saturday we are making a four hour trip to have lunch with a friend and pick up salt and copepods for the aquarium.

Hope your soup turns out great. I love cabbage in chicken soup. :)

I work for a community college district and they don't let us work late...well, they just don't want to know about it. Our union is just bringing that to the table but I know there won't be any pay. It'll be time off but the question is...'time and a half' time off or 'straight hours'...we'll see how it plays out.

How are your new fish? I hope they arrived safely and are happy in their new tank! Was lunch with your friend fun?

Today was pretty great! Bean and I did 4.11 miles in 60 minutes this morning, I spent 85 minutes on my challenges and T25 and then went to Target to pick up some 12 pounders!! I'm using 10s on a few of my challenges, except the standing chest flys...using 8s for that one.

I was looking at a chicken/cabbage soup just the other day...hmmmmm

Today was a good day...# 7 of No Junk Food redo. Walked with Bean this morning and got all my challenges done this afternoon. Even went over and fed my daughter's kitties. It's been a good Saturday!

Got some new protein powder yesterday...Gold Standard 100% Whey. I got cookies and creme on a recommendation, now I wish I'd gotten vanilla. I'll see if daughter's b'friend would be interested in it. I'll get the vanilla. So much more I can do with it. ...you know, like sprinkle it in a jar of peanut butter...

Hope everything is going good for you.

12 pounders, you go. That is such an improvement since the start. :) Bean has little siblings? I love kitties. Lucky Bean. :) Day seven already! Wow how time flies. Great walk, is it cooler there now?

We don't get over time either. Just have to flex it out. And no time and a half, never even thought of that! Boy am I missing something! :(

My friends kitty died yesterday so we cancelled. :( How sad for her. Her kitty, Emma, was really old. But still sad.

We did our long trip and brought back our last fish for now. Picked up just over $300 in supplies and with the new little goby. We did get two 40 pound buckets of reef salt by red sea. And I managed to get 4 bottles of copepods for Draco. And some other odds and ends. We took three of our dogs with us. They love road trips. Took us about eleven hours with stops. The goby is already hooked up with the pistol shrimp. They cohabitate under the rocks. The shrimp has bad eye sight and the goby gets a home.

The silly clown fish still have not figured out what the anemone is, lol. Well going to get some rest so I can get up early. Hope you have been enjoying your days off. :)

Well, according to our wage laws anything over 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week it overtime...so comp time should work out the same.

Sounds like your fish are doing fine. I'm glad. Hope the clown fish figure things out!

The protein powder was bad news come this morning...way bad!! So in the trash it goes. I've used Biggest Loser protein powder with no problem. This was horrible. I'm glad I wasn't at work.

Walked 4.14 miles early this afternoon -- half with Bean -- then got my challenges done. Still using 8s and 10s...but the 12s are sitting there ready to go! We are looking into a combo weight bench. SO might pick it up tomorrow. We'll see. Excited!!!!!!

Well, must be on my way.

That stinks, but better to throw it out than waiting until it expires, lol.

Weight bench. One word of advice. Try them before buying. You have to be able to set the bar back on the support without your hands being in the way of setting it back in place. I find that some of them are not user friendly. And if it has attachments like leg presses, preacher curl pads etc. Make sure they fit your body height and are also user friendly. If not you will not use them after a few times. And try not to buy a bar that uses those screw on safety things. The ones to keep the weights from slipping off! To slow! If I do not have a spotter I don't even use any type. That way if I falter, I can let them fall off one side in an emergency. So far I have not had to do that. I now use my bow flex if I don't have a spotter.

I bet the overtime here will never be that sweet. Enjoy. :)

The clown fish are still clueless, lol. But the trip to get a different salt brand was worth it. Mixed up ten gallons and all the parameters checked out spot on. :)

Let me know about your new bench. :) You can purchase lighter bars if you want. But they only come in the one inch style. Not the two inch ones. So if buying a bar and plates consider that. Plates are expensive and you will not want to buy them twice. I even have some that only weigh a little over one pound. Lol

    Have fun tomorrow!

Now I'm not sure it was the protein pwdr that got me but something did! Day three of agony! Was able to get a walk in yesterday, but that was it. No exercising or walking today...still in my jammies!

Looked at the reviews for the weight bench we were looking at. They said the same thing you did about the supports and that the bench was too narrow. Looking at another one with great reviews that just happens to be out of stock for now. Stomach hurts so I'm in no rush! I may go to Sports Authority, see what they have set up, and look at their weights. I know they have bars and plates.

Well, I did finish reading a book today and eat two cups of rice. Lifting a spoon...wonder how many calories that burns!!! Things are getting better...hoping tomorrow will be it.

Chris I sure hope you are feeling better. Glad you are taking it easy.

Better to get the right bench even if you have to wait on it. I have been so busy around here. Late work nights because of a trial that ended in a mistrial on day 3! What a waste. Got in a fast walk today. But that was it. We had a storm this evening so it was hold Cooper time. :) That could be considered weight lifting. Lol

    Get better.

UGH! Still suffering. Doc has me on two new meds for the moment. Things may be slowing down. Need to keep drinking water...can't get dehydrated or they are going to make me go to the hospital for a long drink of water. Not a very fun vacation for sure!

I'll be so glad to get back to my routine...will have to tone it down at first but not doing anything is making me crazy.

    Must go drink water now!

Chris that is not good. Yes drink plenty of water. And you will want to take it slow when you start feeling better. Then you can look for that bench again. Make sure it is of even and heavy weight. Don't want it tipping on you.

I think I have finally figured out how to raise my own copepods for my Mandarin Dragonet, Draco. Wish me luck.

Now get better so you can walk Bean again.

UGH! The worst week ever! Finally better today. Of course, I'll be able to go to work tomorrow. Ain't that the way! I've been easing back into my regular vitamins and such and my food. This was so not fun!!! I don't want to eat anything that will trigger it which puts all my crazy soups on hold for a bit.

Walked with SO and Bean for 40 minutes this morning. Should be able to get a couple of miles in tomorrow and maybe do one of our burpee exercises.

We have a weight bench so started looking at just the barbell racks. No sense in having two benches. The one we have levers up and down and has rolls for your knees and feet...I don't know what the rolls are called. It's a good one though.

    I love your garden picture.

Xxx so glad you are feeling better. :) And your soups are not crazy. I love hearing what you are cooking. :)

Oops, I have, gulp, had four benches at one time! I am down to two right now. I often go from one to the other to save set up time. :) I also have two regulation sized step benches that I use also. I was sick during vacation and was able to change it to sick time. I had seen a doctor and brought in a letter. :p

I like the idea of racks though. Let me know how it turns out.

Glad you were able to walk some today. I have been a slug. Just played all weekend. Walked the boys, played with my flowers and had lots of company. :) I love the flowers in this picture also. Funny thing though, I got bored of them one day and tore them out. Now I will have to get more. They started taking over. Lol

This was the strangest bug I've ever had. Eight days of feeling like total crap and today I feel great...like it never happened. Go figure!

Bwahahaha on your benches...wait till I tell SO! It makes perfect sense how you use them, though.

Asked my boss if I could switch five days to sick leave and he said "yes." Shocked me outta my socks! He's not that kind of a manager...has to fight you on everything. Wow! shock. But I'm really glad, so I was really nice to him today. (snicker*)

Got in 3 miles today, 60 minutes on challenges and 25 minutes on T25. Could have walked more but we had a guy over about building a patio cover for our back yard, and I wanted to be here so I cut it short.

I'll keep you posted on the racks.

    Have a great Tuesday!

So happy that he switched it to sick time. And you were so right to be nice to your boss, wink, wink. And glad you are better. So you have to tell me how you like the Brazilian workout. :)

I love our covered patio. We used the old wood from the garage we tore down for some of it. It looks really great. And I would have quit early to be there also. I have to be involved in all home improvements.

Glad you understand my use of benches. Funny thing, most people who first see my weight room think it is my hubbies. Lol. I did our old routine today. I still think it is highly effective.

My SO drew a cow/calf tag for a hunt in Yellowstone for buffalo. He is very excited. This will be an expensive trip for him. But he should have a great experience.

Have a great Wednesday. And I am so glad I mentioned switching vacation to sick time. You never know until you ask. :) Well I better get to bed.

I'm going to look at the Brazillian workout this weekend, I'll let you know how it is.

The sun rises and sets in our backyard, so there will be shades we can drop to filter it. We also have a LOT of wind so I'm hoping the shades will help there, too.

My SO has all his exercise equipment in the garage, I have all mine in the family room so everyone thinks he works out in the family room. It's pretty funny!

So does your husband get to go buffalo hunting...real hunting? I didn't know we could hunt buffalo. I had a friend -- long, long time age -- who was a guide for grissly bear hunting. I also didn't know we could hunt grissly bears! I bet it's a grand adventure! When does he get to go? Is there a 'buffalo season'? Cool!

I'm glad you mentioned the switching up of vacation for sick leave. It worked out perfect!

Yesterday I got in 4.17 miles in 61 minutes and worked out for 60 minutes. I didn't do weights yesterday because I did them the day before (used my 12s!!!) and I was too sore. So I'm going to alternate weight days...that's what they suggest anyway. I was thinking about putting our weight workup back in my routine and doing it this way I can.

Well, best get to work...got to pay all the teachers!!

I have been so busy. Anyway to answer your question. The hunt is a once in a lifetime thing at Yellowstone. He put in for the tag and was drawn. And then you are told the area you can hunt in. He said a few people got their buffalo today. But he didn't. He walked for over 12 miles this morning and a couple more hours this evening. He will just have to go back later. Probably in September. He is still pretty excited. He said that when the first ones were shot that the rest of the herd took off. Well duh! Of course they did. LOL It is expensive though. But you only get to do it once.

I picked up Bean yesterday for a weekend sleep over and didn't do too much more than a few squats and a few jacks. Today was much better. Worked out for 120 minutes which included two T25 workouts. I was able to do one of my 3X10 weight workouts with 10s for my chest flys and 12s for everything else. That was hard. Then the other weight exercise I used 10s and 6s. I may be whining bit time tomorrow and Monday.

We went to a three hour class at the community college today that explained what we'll need to retire. We'll finish it up next Saturday. We may just hire the firm to help us make sure we have all our dollar bills in a row. I'm sure that's why they spend their time putting the class on. They know they will get customers out of it even if they spew their disclaimer at the beginning. they are all pretty smart though.

How did your SO's buffalo hunt go? Hope he had fun.

Having a b'day lunch w/girlfriends at Applebee's tomorrow. Must plan what I'm going to eat. It will be okay. Haven't seen either of them in a while, so there'll be more gabbing than eating.

Hope everything is going well with you and that your fence is all done.

Bean is so lucky to have you as a grandmother. :) Rocky came home a bit disappointed, but still had fun. His iron for the gate is all here and he has been busy laying it out and tweaking his design. It will be done before next year's thunder storms. And it will look great. :)

Glad you are feeling better and using the 12 pounders more. You go girl.

Funny how we are doing the same things lately. I went and talked with my advisor at Edward Jones Thursday night. I bought several shares in oil. I am now an oil tycoon. Lol. Plus I increased my Roth contributions and she is going to go over my portfolio for retirement with me again. Great minds work alike.

Are you still doing the clean eating? I am sure being sick for so long could not have helped. Have a great lunch at Apple bees with your friends. :)

I hope Rocky gets lucky the next time they draw names for the hunt. I feel privileged knowing an oil tycoon! That's pretty cool though! You are the only one I know in oil!!

Bean and I walked for 30 minutes then I dropped him at home and finished up my hour!!! Had lunch with my friends...did fine and I got in about an hour of challenges. No squats or lunges though. My thighs are way too sore!! Need to rest them another day or two!

That we are both looking into retirement options is pretty funny! It's at least two years down the line for us, but there are things we need to take care of sooner than later.

I don't know that I'm eating clean. I'm just trying to stay away from my trigger foods, and man! there are plenty of them just laying around!! Even things I didn't eat before seem interesting now...I'll have to get past it. It may have something to do with daughter's b'day this coming Tuesday and my plan to have ice cream and cake. It's a mind thing, you know.

    Have a good Monday!

Daughter's b'day was great! Which means I didn't exercise for the past two days. Monday because we had a guy come out and give us an estimate to paint the exterior of the house and I had to shop for Tuesday. Tuesday was the party...dinner...gathering. . We went to a Japanese place that was pretty good. Didn't have the cake but had some ice cream

Walked 4.29 miles in 66 minutes today after the second guy came out to give us and estimate. Third guy comes out tomorrow night. Hoping I can walk then too.

    Have a great Thursday!
