Sounds like a busy last few days. :) Work has been really busy. Short on personnel and just finished up a trial.

Ice-cream was probably a better choice. But I love cake. :) When we added the addition we decided to side the house with steel siding. Had a couple of estimates. Ouch! We then decided to drive to Cheyenne, about three hours and buy our own siding. At that time no one here would let us buy the siding unless we were a contractor. We still may side the garage. Especially now that we know how! :)

Hope the estimates come in reasonable. I did our old challenge again. I should never have stopped! Feels like I am starting all over again. I still can do the pushups on my toes at least. :P I injured the back of my right leg some time back. Not sure exactly how. It is still hurting. I might relist the March No Nonsense Challenge for a September challenge.

    Have a great Friday. :)

Sorry, fell off the wagon kinda hard since I got sick! I have all kinds of excuses, but let's just say it was a number of moments of weakness!! I ate so much crap yesterday that I woke up like a slug this morning. I swear, I felt dragged down like I'd been on an all nighter...which I haven't done in 30 years!!

I'm all for the September challenge!! I think that's a great idea. I need something new.

Walked 4.41 miles in 63 minutes this afternoon...half of it with Bean...and am headed for my workout in a few minutes.

All three estimates came in within $200.00 of each other. We went with the guy who spent the most time looking at things, gave the most detailed estimate, didn't shy away from replacing wood instead of patching it. Talked about colors, etc. The other two didn't look at the house for very long. One guy didn't even look at the east side which gets baked by the morning sun! Hopefully, we'll get it done right after Labor Day.

I'm so impressed that you guys do all your own work...siding...fence...yards. I, on the other hand, want someone else to do it because it takes too long if it's a family project. Daughter & b'friend need the side fence fixed before they can leave Bean in the back yard by himself. The men have been talking about it for six months. Daughter is ready to hire fence guys!!! I want to help her hire a fence guy. Men! I swear!

Well, off to exercise my brains out...

I kinda been a slug also. That is why I have been doing the challenge again. I was thinking of adding planks to the end of it.

We were really poor growing up. Married at 18, he was just 19. Had more time than money. I sewed patches on service men's shirts for about 75 cents if I remember right. By hand, I could make it look like a machine did it. :) We would collect cans and bottles for grocery money. Just learned to do most things by ourselves. We even have two lawn mowers and mow the lawn together. But I would really love to just have some guys come in and do things for us. Working full time jobs, caring for all our boys, the aquariums, the gardens and all the other things. Sure would be nice to just let someone else do it for us. But it just seems crazy how much people want to do something we can do for a fraction of the cost. So looks like I am stuck doing it.

Tell your daughter to hire someone for Beans sake. If I was there I would come help, us gals could get it done. :) We put a three foot chain link fence around our corner lot to keep the boys from running into the street. It is not to keep out anyone. Just to keep them safe. We do not let them in the outer yard unless we are home. Safer that way.

Sounds like you chose the right guy for the job. I know you will be happy to get it done. :)

Ok, now remember to not burn yourself out with our challenge. You only need to do it every other day with the other ones you are always doing. :) And I fell off the wagon myself. Haven't done a good two weeks of workouts since we got back from vacation. First it was all the wall work, then just one thing after another. Some real, some invented.

I think I wrote a book. Lol. Oh, got the challenge DONE today! Just doing the three burpees one. But all pushups are on my toes and I have been doing the jump up at the end of the burpees. :) I will try to get it listed tomorrow.

Have a great Sunday. I will be getting stain for the wall!

Planks are good! I'm looking forward to the new challenge!

It's so funny that we have similar stories. We were poor too! My dad drank...a lot...and abused everyone. There were six of us kids, I am the second oldest but the oldest girl. My sister Laurie and I wove potholders and sold them door to door so the family could eat.

I told my SO that we would have someone to clean the house and do the yards when we moved this last time. He agreed. I have a bad back from getting hit by a car when I was 16, and he had titanium hips and a fused spine...

I think the guy we picked will do a good job.

I've joined a couple of challenges for September, so I'll write it all out to see what I have so I can pare it down.

Well, have a great Monday...don't work too hard.

Got in a 4 mile walk and that is all. Work wore me out. I need extra sleep tonight. I have one college that doesn't have any of the hours for the part-time nursing instructors in!! Everything was supposed to be in last Wed. I'm dying! They are just shrugging their shoulders and saying I'll have to cut Emergency Warrants for all of it when they get it figured out. I told them "Nopey, nope!" that their nurses would have to wait until the October payroll. Ugh! It's not the instructors fault...it's management and scheduling, but nobody is held accountable. Sorry...just frustrated!

I'm going to put my lunch together and hit the sack.

    TTYL Have a great Tuesday!

Chris I sure hope you get a good nights rest. And it is frustrating when you can't do your job like you would like to until someone else does theirs. And expecially when others are effected. Especially in the pay check! Ouch.

Have a better day Wednesday. Hug Bean.

I sent you a request to join. I could not get pictures to add. :( I asked Katherine if she could. Since she has that super buff lady in the kewl black dress I thought she might just know how to. :P

PS, got it done today. :)

I'm all joined up!! Got shopping done yesterday...that's all. My grand funk continues. I get Bean today. Maybe we'll walk this afternoon if it's not to hot. I dropped out of a number of challenges where I was the only person participating...or the only one posting. That's not any fun. I only work until10:00 today then I'm off until Tuesday morning!! It will be a great weekend!

Do you guys have any plans for the long weekend?

    Have a great Friday!

Well I bet your plans are better than mine. :) I went to dinner with a dear friend who lost his wife February 16th. My hubby golfs with him a lot. He was my Sgt. Anyways after dinner we prepped the one wall for staining tomorrow. Dirty work. Acid washed it and all. Mainly that was my job. He was working on a rail. Then we both cleaned the "flower" bricks. Not sure what they are really called. They are square, and have a kind of clover pattern on them. Or through them. They were really in need of a good chipping of all the extra concrete spillage around the edges of all the patterns. What a difference an hours work made!

We are going to go see a movie this weekend. Hopefully get one of the walls completely stained with the first color. Or at least what three gallons will get done. They have more on order for me.

And then Rockys nephew and his family are coming to visit on Monday. They live about 3 hours away. So it is really nice of them to drive all the way with three small children. I bet you feel better having gotten rid of some of them challenges that you are the only really participating in. I bet that you and Katherine can drop the one and just do this one. Unless there is still someone else that I missed. If so you might want to invite them to join.

I wish I could have gotten off early. You lucky duck. :) Enjoy your weekend and do something fun. :)

Tell Bean hi for me. :)

Your plans all sound like hard work! Today I worked out for 45 minutes before Sara got here to p/u Bean. We didn't walk because it was way too hot. I finally got out there just after 7:00 and it was pretty nice, but it was dark by 8:10. It was a good walk though. Tomorrow I'll p/u Bean at 8:00 a.m., and we'll walk then I'll leave him w/Pat and meet Sara at the mall to go dress shopping for something pretty for me to wear to Holly's wedding on the 14th and a dress for Sara to wear to the rehearsal dinner on the 13th. Sunday we're getting our hair cut, and Bean's going to hang out here for a while. Monday...nothing so far!!

I'm sad for your friend. I'm sure he welcomed your company for dinner.

Have fun with your family on Monday.

There's no one else I'd invite to our challenge. I'm happy people are joining. Hopefully I'm over my funk. Today was a good day and I wanted to exercise and walk. Tomorrow will be a good day too.

I love getting off early on Friday!!!

Have a fabulous three days off!

A number of the people who are joining are friends of mine. Some I know might not hang the entire time. But they have good hearts and hopefully will prove me wrong. :)

I feel horrible for Mark. :( He and Patty worked so hard to be able to retire and be able to travel and just enjoy life. He retired shortly after she passed. :( We worry about him. And visit with him as much as possible.

Dress shopping? oh my. Sounds like such fun. :)

Ok enough of our slump though. Love your walk. I was outside working until I was tired of making the motion detector light come on again. LOL It was better lighting than the one I brought from inside the house. :P

Have a great Saturday and hit it Sunday.

Our challenge is going to be pretty fun from the looks of it. We'll see who makes it to the 30th!! My slump is over. Needed the new month.

Found two dresses that are pretty cute! Sara found two, too! Then we got shoes. Haven't worn heels in ages...this will be a great test! SO bet b'friend that shoes would only last through the ceremony then will come off! They might be right.

I must behave myself for the next two weeks because the dress I'm planning to wear fits perfectly. Cannot gain! Going to walk with Bean now. We had a puppy-sleep-over last night! He's such a doll!

Talk to you after walking and getting our challenge done. Might start T25 again. ...maybe.

I needed a new start also. Funny I have been wondering who will be still here at the end, hmm Kat, you and I! Would be nice to see a few others make it also. :)

Great dress shopping! And I would fall off of heels. Splat, embarrassing moment! :P

    Well gotta run. Work tomorrow.
