Welcome UAC-June Members!
Some of you have been with this challenge for months and some are brand new. I can tell you that it is one of the hardest challenges to stay with throughout the entire month. FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS!! Log every BLT (Bite, Lick, Taste). Stay strong and true to yourself....YOU WILL SUCCEED!!
Please feel free to share as much information as you feel comfortable sharing about yourself with the rest of the group. I look forward to getting to know all of you a little better. GOOD LUCK!

Hi folks,
Im 43 Irish mom of three pre teen kids. Im a serial yoyo dieter and recovering bulimic. Ive lost weight and got to goal 5 times. The last time was 2014. I've also completed c25k program a few times. I want to start back running again.
I needed to lose 30lbs, but I just cant seem to get motivated. Im hoping that this thread will be my accountability and motivation.5 -
Hi! I'm a 19 year old girl from Australia. I've always been pretty active and have been a competitive cheerleader for the past 5 years but it's my diet that is holding me back from my goals! I'm not confident in my skin and my goals would be to lose weight, lean/tone up and just feel confident with my body! I currently weigh about 150 pounds and my goal weight is around 130 pounds. I hope this group will motivate my to stick to my goals and see them through!5

Hi y'all. My goals for June are to lose at least 4 lbs. I have a total of 22 to lose to be at goal, but that seems like a daunting task, but 4 lbs doesn't seem as hard. At 55, it's really hard to get a stalled metabolism started, but this challenge will also keep me accountable to working out or moving every day and that helps rev up my metabolism. Looking forward to meeting new inspirational people too.4

Hi I have been a part of the UAC family for a long time. Most months I keep to my routine and I cruise through the month. This past month I have hit a few bumps and I check in for the support but I am ok with saying I have added a few lbs. Next month even next week is a fresh start. The group is great we cheer each other on when someone is doing well or even when someone just needs to vent. See everyone in June.5

Hello everyone. I'm Jessica and I have been looking for an accountability group for next month and VOILA! I'm up for the challenge. I am a wife and mother of three. I am wrapping up JMs 30DS and plan to start something new (not sure what though) next month. Hoping to keep it all together and work towards my goals daily...I want to lose these last 20 lbs. I'm looking forward to sharing ideas, stories and success.2

Hi again. Opting in for a second month. 49yo father of one from Australia. Started tracking weight and food when I realised I was heading for obese for the first time in my life. UAC has been helping keep me honest and on track. Dropped 4.8 kg (10 lbs) in the last 30 days. Finding UAC is helping create good, sustainable habits with the help of a wonderfully supportive group.5

Hi all,
I am new to this group / challenge
I am a returner to MFP, I had managed to lose all but 15 lbs of my excess weight but over the last two years its came back and brought some friends. Time to lose it all again and maybe a little extra ..
I have been a member of challenge groups in the past and they really keep me on track.
I'm 44 from Scotland and my aim for June is to lose 1/2 a stone and a few inches3 -
Hello!
My name is Kelsea. I'm 25 years old and am from Minnesota, USA. I have been a part of the UAC family for 7 months, have lost 25 lbs with the group, and reached many other fitness goals with their support.
I would like to lose 5 lbs by July, which sounds small, but summer (US summer anyway) tends to be the toughest time for me to stick with my healthy lifestyle, so I'm keeping my goal realistic.
My non-weight goals are to improve my core strength (hopefully get some visible abs in the future haha) and increase my cardio (I've been trying for awhile now).
Welcome, newcomers! Welcome back, veterans! Let's do this!2 -
Hey everyone,
My name is Madi, I am from Louisiana, USA. I'm a reservist in the military and need extra help reaching the standards and passing my physical training tests. I am always up for a good challenge and hope this group will push me to my goal.
My non-scale victory goal for this month is to be able to do 10 pull ups.
Wishing everyone good luck on their goals this month!2 -

Well I didn't know people from my neck of the woods exist. Lol! I'm in Baton Rouge what about you?1 -
Im kinda off topic, as I've already done my intro. But, Im actually starting to get nervous as June 1st looms. My motivation is really low right now, which is why I'm here. My biggest struggle is mental. I know what a healthy diet and lifestyle is, but my mind is pushing against it all the time. Does any if you want an accountability buddy on Whatsapp/Viber? I'm on London time.2

I'm new to this challenge. Recently gained about 10 pounds and need to get that plus 10 more off. I typically eat very healthy, but recently picked up some old eating habits that leave me feeling less than my best. Logging daily on MFP seems to help me stay on track. So this challenge looked perfect for encouraging me as I return to everyday logging, whole foods and remembering to stay active.
We are setting up some weights for out sons that I'm looking forward to using. We also have a number of home projects that will help with the "stay active" thing. I also enjoy gardening, walking and biking.3 -
Hi! I'm Noah, I'm 22 year old father and husband and my mfpal told me to check this out so here I am, this seems to be a challenging challenge and I'm excited to push through and try it out
This is my first time on this challenge. I love superheroes and I'd like to be one soon4 -

Hi All
I'm Alyson and this will be my 3rd month with the UAC. It's a really great group of supportive people with an awesome leader in @RangerRickL and is really helping me stay on track even when the scale isn't cooperating.
In June I am hoping to reach the weight that I had originally set as my target before revising it down 2kgs a couple of weeks ago - I still plan to celebrate that milestone though.
Good luck to you all and may we all reach our June goals.3 -
Hi all,
My 3rd month here, even though last month was cut a bit short with the birth of my daughter. Will recommit this month.
Goals:
Drop 2kg
Establish new routine to fit in 5 workouts consistently
Hit protein goal consistently
Good luck everyone!2 -
@scubachick67 Don't freak out this past month I have actually gained weight instead of losing weight due to all the stress in my life. They are the bumps in the road and when stress hit I resorted back to some old not so great habits. I still checked in with everyone to keep myself grounded. If we are all honest this hits us all I can get through the holidays but I can't seem to get through the month of Feb without a weight gain. I am a stress eater and even though I am trying to do other things when things are bad I still eat the things that well yes I am in calories but they make me feel like crap. It's all about taking it one day at a time and when you screw up you give yourself the break you deserve and start over. There is no judging at the UAC. See you in June!!5

Hi there, I'm 26 and from Florida. I'm new to the challenge and looking forward to this next month! I hope to lose about three pounds of the last fifteen or so I want to drop, but most importantly I want to improve my terrible eating habits and my lack of devotion to regular exercise.6

Welcome to everyone!!
I'm @RangerRickL but I'll always just call myself, Rick
The group members range from those who are seeking a healthy life to those who have well honed life habits. Caring, sharing and honesty are strongly encouraged!
See you all very soon!

Hey there! I have never done this before but I like how FOCUS! sounds, I definitely need that to get back on track. I am 25, have a beautiful 10-month-old baby boy and lost the baby weight a few months ago... but I'm gaining again. I lost exactly that - my focus, once I started cooking for him, I just started grazing on whatever and then still ate the awesome dinners my boyfriend makes. I stopped taking care of myself overall. We're moving apartments in a few days and I really want to make this a fresh start, not just in my health and fitness area of life, trough sickness and random sad moments I lost track of life itself and I need to start feeling more like myself to get out of that place. Time to start seeing me again when I look in the mirror.
Goals for June: Just to stay on track. I would love to lose a couple of kilos but then again - just logging and working out again will be enough for this month. And to get back to saying "no" when I'm offered food I want but know I don't need. That would be the hardest I think. Edit: I was sure my BMR was above 2000 but I guess that's still in my memory from a few months ago It dropped to around 1700, sooo I guess I'll have to go with 1500 per day. Scary.
Good luck everybody! I'll be happy to add anybody that is looking for a buddy, hoping that will make me feel more accountable overall6 -
I am Gus (Augusta) from Illinois U S A.
In May I did not win, but I did lose 11.6 pounds with following healthier habits.
This group is just the best motivation for losing weight and working toward better health. And Ranger Rick is just amazing! Thank you, Rick, for your leadership, inspiration and hard work in running this group!6 -

Hello--I am Becky from Wisconsin. I am new to this group. I have put on some weight in the past couple of years and need to refocus on watching what I am eating and exercise. Middle age and a sedentary job are not being kind to me. Time to take charge!5

Hi everyone my name is Priscilla and this is my fourth month with UAC. As you can see from lots of us returning members this is a GREAT group to be a part of. I am so excited to see all our new members and am really looking forward to sharing your journeys with you. I'm Shauna, mother of 5 (four are teenagers) and happily married for 22 years. I love running and have great social support for exercise but need all of you for dietary support. I know that when I am consistent with tracking my food intake, I'm successful with weight loss.
I'm excited to work with everyone toward the winners circle!6 -
Hello,
I am a 48 year old working, married (coming up on 25 years!), mother of two active teen boys, who take advantage of all the outdoor activity in Northern California. I sometimes keep my weight fairly stable, and then see a 5-10 pound gain. Well, last year, it was 15 pounds. After a few false starts with this amazing UAC group, I got my act together near the end of March. Now, I am back to my previous goal weight (hooray!), and have been working on losing a few more pounds even. I am about 3 pounds from my new goal weight. Like @shauna30 above, I love to run and work out... it is my food choices that I need the accountability for. I have some trips coming up and will definitely need to plan ahead.
Looking forward to a great month!

Hello, I am Bob. I am retired and kind of wanting to stay active and healthy. I lost a good bit of weight a while ago but I still have to pay attention or it sneaks back. I have been allowing a kind of 5 pound oscillation but it is looking like I landed on a new higher equilibrium. I want to get it off. I figure it is going to take some exercise. Might as well have fun.2
