Yesterday, on my drive home from the office, I enjoyed watching people walking, biking; running and even roller skating along our local river multi-use pathway. For the first time, I saw a young woman on roller skates and she was pushing her baby in a buggy (pram). It was wonderful to see them together.
When I was young, women had neither the freedom nor encouragement to get outside and exercise. I just wanted to share that fun image with you.

Exercise is just so much better outside unless the weather is really awful.
My exercise today was my commute to work as usual although I had a haircut after work so added about 5.5km to my normal distance. It meant I was quite late getting home though so no exercise this evening other than some push ups.
Tracking was good and calories just under.8 -
It got nice out yesterday so we walked to pick up Kristen's car . So she tells our boss how she is going to protect me by walking next to the road. My boss goes honey there is only 6 inches of you if they get you they got Sue too. Then she dresses all in black. I had on my sparkle pink hat my hot pink sneakers and my abstract jacket that was pink,Orange, yellow and white. Black yoga pants I was so bright I was like a big old construction cone except with glitter and pink. Lol.
Work wise yesterday was rough we had one side go down in drive thru. I was the only person working which made for a really long day. Today I am inside and its nice out so I can go back to the dresses I had planned to wear earlier in the week.
Have a lot planned for today. Have a great day everyone!!!7 -
That's quite the determination to get outside and roller blade while pushing your baby stroller!! No loop holes for this mom! Thanks @RangerRickL for sharing this motivational picture.5

@2020pinktogo I seriously laughed out loud at the image of you in my head. Thanks for that morning laugh.3

Yes, yes and yes.
Exercise was a walk with my daughter, rather than my run/walk. Tbh, I wouldn't have got off the couch today if it wasn't for you guys, so thanks for the accountability.5 -
Damn it, I had a bigger reply. But it never posted1

Who asking about playlists/music? Spotify is great for playlists for all sorts of moods and exercise. Theres also some good health/fitness podcasts in there.6 -

Basic day. I'm going to have to pass Saturday because we're moving and one, there's going to be a party that happens so rarely I don't want to be too worried about what I'm eating and inputting it and two, no idea how to log packing and moving stuff around, so I'll just try and be as mindful as I can and not overdo it.
Hope you're all losing, it's past a week, yay My nutrition chart has never been this green, plus I started consistently dropping weight daily (I'm a serial weigher, I cannot help it). I do use Libra to track a chart and the trend is finally going down instead of up, so I passed a milestone, now I just have to keep it up.

yes, yes, yes
Exercise was climbing for like 1:38:57. Yeah listen to me clocking my segments out to seconds. But yeah that was a PR. Total ride I think 2:25.
At the top I run into some kids, 20 somethings would be my age guess. They were looking for some single track downhill and want me to steer them to some. They parked at the ski area and were hoping for some lift service uphill. Ski area isn't going to do that this year.
So if we wants downhill we have to ride up the old fashioned way. Well, that's what I do.
These kids were parked not even a quarter mile from where they met me. They were already pushing their bikes. Heh, I guess I am kind of smug about that.
I directed them to that single track downhill place and warned them that it was stuff that exceeded my skill level and that the vegetation was such that full face helmets were seriously recommended. They kind of shrugged. I hope I didn't send them to their doom.
Oh, and every bit as weird. I went back to the car and I am putting my bike on the roof and a snake skitters out from under it. Yikes! I was pretty much startled by that.
Then no sooner than the snake skitters out, a crow swoops down and grabs it. Crow didn't care that I was right there in kicking distance.
So what's the crow do? He lofts that snake up about 50 feet in the air and drops it on the blacktop of the road. Then he swoops down after it again. Oh, now I get why that snake was hiding under my car. That crow was antagonizing the heck out of it. I bet he ate it.
What else? Oh yeah, Buddy's birthday. We ate some miniature cupcakes and he unwrapped a present. took him walking for a little bit. My wife and I are both mesmerized by that little guy.7 -

Exercise: Yes--went for a twenty-minute run, ten-minute walk today to burn off the extra calories!
Calories: Yes, but only because I ran! I had to dig into my exercise calories a little bit, but I'm still netting ~100 left over.
Tracked: Yes
@SimonsChange Gorgeous views for your walk! I wish we had waterfalls like that here. Now that it's no longer tourist season, I might make a point of exercising on the beach to change up the view.
Weighed myself today, and I'm down 2 lbs! I might have to take a pass tomorrow, though, because my dad wants to eat at a buffet for dinner and, well, good as I may try to be, tracking every little thing that ends up on my plate is going to be a bear, and I don't want to spend the evening stressing out. We'll see, though!4 -
Even in the summer months, I enjoy going to the gym. I love to be outside hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, but I enjoy structured exercise such as strength training and running. On a cool day, it is wonderful to run outside, but 70+ degrees F and sunny is a bit too much for me haha. The gym's air conditioning comes in handy for my structured workouts
Thanks for sharing @RangerRickL! I'm happy times have changed. I wouldn't have fit in well back then haha.
Gorgeous pictures, @SimonsChange! It must have been wonderful to have been surrounded by such beautiful scenery.
Good luck to all of our U.K. members! I hope the election results are in yours and your countrymen's favor!
Exercise? Yes; a 20 minute run

Exercise was my big victory. I have been increasing my jump rope cardio for the last 2 months. Today, I hit a new high (Personal Best "PB" or Personal Record, "PR" as @bocasdelbobdog taught me). I did EMOM, Every minute on the minute intervals of 80 skips and rest for 10 rounds with the 1/2 lb rope followed by 3 rounds with the 1lb rope.
Total exercise 46 minutes
Calories: under by 410
Tracking; ok9 -
A very busy day is coming close to the end. My husband had his surgery today and it went very well. Long day as we were at the hospital from 10 this morning till after 7 tonight, much later than we expected. Good news is he is resting at home and hopefully we will have a very uneventful next few day Huge NSV for me as I managed to get my exercise in and stay within my ranges, usually I would use a day like today to binge(as food always makes us feel better, don't you know! )
Results for today
exercise yes 30 minutes exercise bike
calories yes, under by 200
tracking absolutely!6 -
Will have to catch up later
Yes x 3.5 -
@pears734 I wish I was an adventurous outdoors girl. But in hot, humid 90+° Georgia, it's all I can do to go play ball with my pups and be able to breath. I do love to fish though and there is nothing better than going into the cold mountain streams and catching trout.
@RangerRickL congrats on the PR
@pribud so glad your husband's surgery went well and congratulations on the NSV. Having spent many days of the last several years in hospitals with my aging in-laws, I know how hospital food can derail even the best efforts because they are notorious for having vending machines full of junk food.3 -

@fightingthetideofaging holy moly Sir! How do you keep going? I am aiming to do half of your exercise. You must be harder than a rock all over.
@slimpossible007 and @am_change and any other of my uk neighbours. I hope you got the election result you wanted.
@simonschange great pics, thanks for sharing. It makes it easier to exercise with scenery like that.
