I'm down for another 50 miles this month.
One wedding down and one to go. It's been a busy, hectic past few weeks. The wedding Saturday for our other kid (oldest son's BFF who lived in our fridge and still pops in for random reasons) was amazing with a gorgeous backdrop. The kids all had a great time.
I am a sad, sad grandma. The grandkids head out tomorrow or early Wednesday back to Idaho and our son goes back to his duty station.

I had the 3 grandsons overnight so I could not leave them to go for an early walk before it heated up. Temps hit 98* & are to be like this all week. This will do MAJOR damage to our already drought damaged crops. Keep praying people! We definitely appreciate it!!
After the boys went back to their parents I rode 10 on the ex bike. My heel is quite painful today & I'm sure it is from the walking yesterday. Plus I have spoken to my surgeon about having 3 toes being numb at times. He said that PT & a chiropractor may help with that.

I went for a 3 mile run today and that completes my Runner's World streak. I ran at least 1 mile a day from Memorial Day (May 29th) to Independence Day (July 4th). I can't believe I did it. I think I will take a day off from running tomorrow!
Also, today marks day 2000 of logging in to My Fitness Pal. It's been an interesting streak. I started in January 2012. Losing weight was so easy in the beginning, then it became so much harder trying to keep the weight off. But overall I'm much better off than I was when I started. I'm in a healthy weight range. I've run 10 marathons (I think - I've lost count). Everyday my goal is to be happy with what I have and not beat myself up too much for what I'm not. I try to remind myself that where I am is pretty good, even if I can't manage to lose that 10 pounds I regained. I try to remain grateful and try to keep moving my *kitten*. Hooray for 2000 days.6 -
Congrats to djmicheals for making goal in June!0

Well done Janet ( @JTH11706) for completing the 37DaysofAwesome and for all that you have achieved over the last 2000+ days. You have a lot to be happy about, and very little to beat yourself up over, from my perspective.
July: 160 m running, purposeful walking, cycling
4th: 7.5 miles, 4.47m running D37/R37, 3.03m purposeful walking, Pilates and strength training - MTD 28.29
I too have completed the 37DaysofAwesome - thank you Janet for the motivation. My knees aren't thankful though.... but I'm in awe that I did it. I may start to reintroduce my rest days ....1 -

@Janet: Congrats on both streaks. Insight is sometimes better than the results we hoped for because it is in the journey that we truly learn much about ourselves. Congrats to you and all you have achieved.
@k80flec: Congrats on finishing the streak too. Well done.
Happy Fourth of July to my American friends. God bless the USA and may she ever be a democracy where man has such wonderful liberties.
July 4th: Adding 13.5 miles. I also finished the streak. Once upon a time, I ran every day but my knees are telling me that they are not able to sustain that anymore. I too will go back to my rest days most happily. But I am grateful to finish.
Ran 1.5 miles, walked 5 and cycled 5 miles.
TTD: 57.56 miles

@Janet; that is something to be proud of! Awesome job!!
To all you who did complete the Runners Streak I want you to know I was envious when I would read your daily postings! Great job! especially when it takes a strong mindset to get you moving when body parts are rebelling! I was thinking of you this morning when I went out before the heat & ran 2 & walked .5. My heel is screaming at me tonite. I also did 6.5 on the ex bike.
