Okay, yesterday I logged on 23.5 miles but it has gone poof. So I am adding those for the 5th and 6th and adding 11.5 for today, July 7th. Spent the morning taking my dad for blood work and the afternoon hauling my hubby to PT.

@Leanz : Glad you are making some ground on the earphones. (I can never find any that fit but am looking at the non ear sets that transmit sound next to your ears.
@vhuber:I wish I could share some if the flooding and torrential rain stirms we are having. And the heat and the humidity.
@Dave:I saluted my dad for you but right back at you. Sempri Fi!1 -

Sorry for the late update! I'm back in California with some family obligations. In fairness it's still Saturday here!
I had a nice run on the beach this morning but I'm still not in the green. Feeling jealous of those people who are halfway to goal.

Everything has came to a halt, all my training and hard work just stopped dead. I traveled to Bend OR on July 4 for final prep for my TdC 50 miler on July 8 and arrived at my son's place. I hadn't even got my bike unloaded when I was attacked by a dog. My right fore arm is pretty tore up, 5 punctures, 2 of which are in the flexor tendon and some nerve damage. To say I have not been on a bike since July 3rd is a sad understatement. I have cancelled anymore attempts on my solo TdF challenge, the TdC half century turned into a painful 5k walk for juvenile cancer patients, and my MYAC challenge is an unknown, all I can do now is walk some. I don't know when I will be able to get back on a bike again. All depends on how the dog bite, infection and tendon heals I guess. I got tetanus shot, antibiotics in the glute, another drug in the other arm, plus x-rays of the bone to make sure this animal didn't break my fore arm. I am just sad and depressed, have to wear a hard splint to keep the tendon from flexing till a specialist can get a peak at it. This was not a cycling accident, this was an idiot letting their dog run lose, but this may cost me my cycling. After a 200 mile drive today I have been home for a few hours and am pretty sore. I am sorry for the rant, I am just feeling low.......
