New keto girl with 100+ pounds to lose....want friends

Hi yall.
I am new to Keto and MFP. I need to lose 100 or more pounds. Not really sure what my weight is don't have a scale but will have on by Monday. I am keeping my carbs below 20 but it seems my calories that I need are quite high. Over 2100. I reduced that to between 1500-1700 daily. I'm trying to learn about this and it seems like I need to eat mostly fats? Does it matter what type? Bacon or Almonds?
I guess there's a part of me that is scared this won't work. I'm on day 3 and doing ok Just a little down emotionally...
I am trying to also learn how to not have my evening emotional eating / binge.....I would love to give and receive support.

I just started Keto last week! I have lost 30 lbs already from just counting calories and drinking shakes but have been stuck for a few months so thought I would try Keto, see if that will help me lose the last 30 lbs.4

I started keto one month ago today at 314lbs. I am now 294lbs. 20lbs in one month!! (without exercise, other than daily life stuff) For month 2 my goal is to add some exercise in and I have my fingers crossed for another 20 lbs!
I know I have a long way to go - I'd like to lose 130 to 150 lbs in total. Keto has given me hope! For the first time in my life I feel like I finally have control over hunger, cravings, and food choices. Keto has totally rocked my world. It's amazing

Hello There, you can add me! I started after having Gastric Bypass at 317 pounds went down to 155 stayed for 5 years and then put back 54 pounds. I could not get it off no matter what as I have Reactive Hypoglycemia and Hashimoto Disease which makes it more difficult. I found Jimmy Moore and read the book Keto Clarity and continued my research I found Maria Emmerick, Stephanie Person and Low Carb Down Under and Keto Connect on You Tube and begain my Keto Lifestyle I am 33 pounds down of the 54 and feel great! I go by the 80/15/5 as close to it as possible. I count Net Carbs and that includes removing Fiber and Sugar Alcohols to get my Net. My Thyroid has started to actually get better they had to LOWER my med and my Reactive Hypoglycemia is under control no sugar crashes due to very low carb and pretty much non existent sugar and processed foods. I will never go back to a traditional lifestyle.7

Hi, Gambigirl and everyone else! I started Keto close to two weeks ago and am still figuring it all out -- and loving it. I have much to learn but am sticking to basic protein/carb/fat ratios, am logging my food intake and exercise, and so far, so good. I'm taking some supplements, as well and, most important, have ramped up my walking and started a circuit-training class, which I love. Wonderful people, no judgment. I have close to 60 pounds left to go, having lost 25 since January. Anyway, I'm liking keto because, honestly, my cravings (fingers crossed) are GONE. Would love to friend anyone in this group; root one another on!7

Add me to your list. I have 100 lbs to lose. Although as of Monday only 76. I hit my first 10%down on just 9 weeks averaging 2.66lbs a week with virtually no exercise. Watch Butter Bob Briggs YouTube videos as well as those of Keto Christine. They have lost 150lb and 100lbs respectively. You can do this and you don't need any special books or meal plans. It's soooo simple. Just program you MFP app for 5%carbs, 15% protein and 80%fat. Fat is your friend. Drill that into your head. You can only have 20 carbs no matter what it says with the 5%. Just remember to adjust that mentally in your head as you track. My diet diary is open to the public. Almost everyday for the past 9 months I have enjoyed 2-3 slices of bacon or other breakfast meat and 2-3 eggs with or without vegetables and cheese. This is the yummiest diet there is. Once your body goes into ketosis and starts burning all the abundant calories you have in storage you won't even feel hungry and all those carb cravings will disappear. Never in my life have I felt like this. God bless. Add me if you would like. Don't tell anyone what you are doing. Just let them see the results. The Standard American diet crowd of lo gay high carb just eat a little less and exercise more people have a heart attack when you tell them how much fat you eat. You can't tolerate carbs if you are severely overweight. Keto and intermittent fasting will have almost anyone off of most of their mess in a month.6

Just remember, the rules might be simple, but it definitely isn't easy to wrap your head around at first... Don't be afraid to ask a question here when needed. Ever.
And protein isn't a number that is set in stone, or even a percentage. That is very dependent on you, your body, your activity levels, and such...
Please remember, everyone, that we're all different. What works spectacularly for you may not work at all for someone else. A low carb dietary plan requires a lot of individual experimenting to find what parts of it work best for you, so take your time and research, ask, and don't be afraid to try new things!4 -

I started lazy keto January 2017, I am down 50 lbs. And I've been stalled for a few months, seems I keep gaining & losing the same 5 lbs. I recently analyzed and figured out my macros, so I'm now not so lazy. I'm hopeful things will turn around soon. I'm thrilled at how my clothes are getting looser.
I seem to go full force on one specific food for a long time....for decades it was chocolate. And now for the first time in my entire life, I crave bacon. I still hate the smell of bacon, and try to make it first thing in the morning and open all of my windows to air my house out. Bacon is what I've been eating everyday for....at least 6 weeks.

Girl, I'm right there with you. My nutritionist worked it all out, and my calorie goals were 2080.
Here's a fun little tidbit about me:
SW: 269.4
CW: 247.6 (as of 8/4)
Heigh: 5'2"
Starting Date: June 27, 20172 -
This is my 2nd day - my first day I was under 325 calories but over carbs by 15 net. Struggling to find balance. Feel free - anyone - to reach out and supply pep talks - advice - firm words of encouragement. LOL I lost 35# walking last summer but then winter hit & I didn't have the motivation anymore.... Then doc told me that I am 61.1# of body fat - now I don't even want to look at a carb or ice cream.... ug . LOL2

I'm on my 6th week of doing keto mainly for neurological health. I consider the weight loss a very happy side effect considering I've got around 80 more to lose! I've been stumbling thru this on my own and keeping my total carbs at no more than 20. Some days I barely get 5.5
