1.71 trail walk/hike. Found a new trail not to far from my house. Fun to explore new trail systems.
@Deeder522, yes it is fun! Glad that you found another trail nearby!
@PinkyPan1, thank you! These storms are so unpredictable. I am so grateful but at the same time saddened for others not so fortunate. Nice golfing mileage!
August 31: 70 minutes walking outdoors this morning.
Walking out of August .....

texasgardnr, Wow sounds like you really got lucky.1

Goal 3.5 mi/day or 105/month
Actual mileage for August-53.9 miles total
I am sorry to have been missing in action but I had a pretty serious health issue that started on August 1, of all days, and it still has not been definitely diagnosed except that it is not RA and it is not Lyme!! I was hiking in the woods in July and assumed it was Lyme, but the ELISA and Western Blot tests were both negative, so not Lyme. Next week, I am heading to University of Michigan Hospital for more tests. Lovely!!! In any event, all of my joints were so enflamed that I could not walk at all the first week in Aug, and managed to hobble around the second week. I finally can walk normally again this past week as all the inflammation has resolved for the moment. Getting old is a pain, but it is better than the alternative!
I was very worried about you Mary and am so glad to hear you escaped the worst of the hurricane. My heart goes out to people because there is nothing you can do about water rising that is for sure.
Here is hoping for a much better September!0 -
zichab, I am so sorry you are hurting. Oh my goodness.....I hope you get an accurate diagnosis and treatment. How scary. Warm hugs and wishing you a speedy recovery.0

@Deeder522 and @zichab, Thank you! Yes, I was very fortunate. Periodically I get overwhelmed with gratitude that our city and the surrounding area was spared.
@zichab, Yes, that did sound a lot like Lyme especially with the hiking. It is good news that it is not, and especially good news that it is not RA. But what in the world happened to you my friend ?? Oh, my, that must have been excruciatingly painful.
How did you manage to get that many miles in with all the pain? Determination , for one thing, I'd say. I also hope that you find answers and an accurate diagnosis. Sending hugs and praying for you.

Thanks for the support & hugs Pinky and Texasgardnr. The MDs do not say I have "recovered" they say the problem has "resolved," which I assume means Can come back again in MD speak! It was horribly painful and I have never experienced anything like it in my life! I got most of my miles in the last couple of weeks as there are some days when my Vivofit recorded .3 miles ... and trust me, those were just from walking to the bathroom! Anyway, I am sure at some point, we will know what it is, but for now, more testing is in my future. :grumble:1

So glad you are better. Like Mary said, I hope the doctors will be able to pin point whats going on. I think it's awesome that you are back walking again.1
