Talk me off the ledge...

Hi all!
So amongst a whole bunch of hormonal and autoimmune issues I am also trying to lose 30lbs of extra baby weight from my new twins!
With out knowing it I've always eaten at a 16/8, I'm just not a snacker or night eater so it's pretty easy for me.
After reading about IF & LCHF I've decided to really focus but I need some advice and someone to give me a stern talking to!!!
I'm in day 3 and I've gained 8oz...
I was expecting at the very least a large water loss. Is it to early to see results?
My body is wildly inflamed right now from IBS flare so I'm trying to work on reducing that. I'm assuming this is creating some weird weight loss issues.
If my body is used to 16/8 should I drop it to a 18/6?
I am wanting to follow through with this so much but I get so disappointed when it doesn't work that I just quit.
(Plus my in laws are coming to stay for the next 4 days so not drinking ALOT is going to be hard! Lol)

autoimmune runs along the maternal lines, so inflammation I have had to learn to quell so it does not lead to chronic disease. It may be related, but weightloss for me tends to be slow, and see-saw like, and marked with plateaus...until I committed to LCHF. Weightloss is still slow, but it is steady.
Suggestions from posters on this group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group has made difference, such as: the importance of salt; when in weightloss mode there is no need for fat-loading--instead eat fat til satiety; exercise in fasted state (i.e. before 1st meal).
Many doing LCHF are also doing IF.0
