I slept in until 8 am, too. I woke up in the middle of the night and had trouble getting back to sleep.

I made oatmeal for breakfast and added turmeric at the end. It looks like curry and tastes like oatmeal! Joe made some bean burgers for lunch today and we had them sandwich style with guac and smokey paprika sauce, lettuce, tomato etc. Yum! Will probably do a rerun of that for dinner.

I read something recently that having black pepper with turmeric makes the turmeric more effective. The Trader Joe's brand of ginger turmeric tea has black pepper added to it and I like the spicy flavor. I am still drinking at least one cup of ginger turmeric tea a day, but I add turmeric to a lot of recipes now too.

I'm making a batch of oatmeal myself. Decided to make steel-cut since I've been eating rolled for a couple months now. Should get 2 or 3 breakfasts out of this batch. I got a huge bag of frozen blueberries on sale last week.

Yesterday when I went up to my office I realized that it was a disaster with paper piled everywhere so I spent a good hour sorting through everything and cleaning it up before starting on my work. It's so much nicer now! I think I'm going to the office for a few hours then bring some things home to work on. Between having my office clean and the weather cooling off, I'm more inclined to want to spend time in my home office now.

Had a productive few hours in the office, brought home several files, one of which is going to be a chore and will take several hours. Doing a little cooking before I head up to my desk. Have a pot of lentil soup going. It's my basic throw it together not a recipe which is just sauteed onion, celery and carrot, garlic, thyme, cumin and paprika, liquid smoke, diced potato, couple containers of veggie broth and a bag of lentils. When it's done I'll wilt in a container of baby spinach to make it even more bursting with nutritious yumminess.

Also made a batch of E2 hummus, and steaming broccoli and asparagus, and stocked up on lettuce. Should be set most of the week.

Thanks for the tip about the pepper with turmeric. I will check the one I have and see if I need to switch brands.

I'm working on socks and a hat and spun up some yarn this weekend. I should have been cleaning. Might do an evening cleanup to start the week out fresh.

Oh and we need to start a new thread. Anyone with an October title idea?
