Okay so I've calmed down from my excitement to do a Fall challenge of Jessica Smith's and have reevaluated the program. That's maybe a little too much so me. I've created my own challenge instead using all my favorite Fitness Diva's. 3 days of routines and then a rest day for the next 2 weeks....starting tomorrow. :)

  • Hi everyone, I'm new to this group but lost weight by eating sensibly and doing Leslie Walk DVDs during my lunch break a few years ago. Life got the better of me, I've gained even more weight and need to get back on track. Hoping to stay motivated this time around and maybe this group will help! Feel free to add me as a friend!

@TheresASkinnyGirlInsideMeeee, Welcome to the group! You can do this again, one step at a time just like when you did it the first time. Walk strong B)

@Deeder522, sounds like a very doable plan...

@PinkyPan1, many miles golfing.... you go girl B) !

I've been quite busy with lots of errands and extra cleaning and also awesome grandchildren time, as well as getting ready for a possible visit to see one of my sons and his precious wife, if things work out on their end. Will get back to DVDs hopefully tomorrow ;)

    Walk... walk...walk...

@AnnofB Thank you so much for reaching out to me! I know it took a while, but I am highly motivated, once again.

I know it's the middle of the month and I don't even have a mileage goal, but my goal is to do the Leslie Sansone Burn 30 Workout (from the Just Walk 30 Day Walk off Kit) 3-4 days / week and alternate with my Back Exercises and some arm work.

Since I am really easing back into the exercise.... just moving 1 day per week would be better than I've been doing for the past few months. And, 3 days / week will be better than I've done the last 3 years!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Back Exercises are supposed to be done at least once / day, but even every other day will be much better than I've been doing. Also, the back exercises include planks and crunches or situps. I always add to my back exercises push-ups and triceps extensions. And, as I get these down faster -- it takes me a lot longer right now as I have to stop a lot to rest.... I will add in some leg work -- squats and lunges at the very least.

This morning, I did the Burn 30 Workout. I did not add any weights. I did do the running part and the bouncing/jumping part. I will say that I definitely felt the burn in my butt and hips. Also, a little in my calves. Oh, I also felt it in my arms... probably due to being sore from doing push-ups and triceps extensions, yesterday. I'm very glad that I did it and feel great right now!

Thanks for being here and I hope to be a regular poster.

Linda, this is great! Having a plan is more than half the battle. Easing back into it is key because nothing ruins a plan like an injury from overuse. Your post is inspiring me to get off my behind and get to work! Enjoy your day!

@PinkyPan1, You are getting some awesome mileage golf games in there!

@Deeder522, your mileage is sure adding up quickly!

@Linda (Elbee1), The Burn 30 walk is a great one! You do have a great cardio/ strength plan. As Ann says, easing back into exercise is definitely key. You will be walking/ exercising a little bit more stronger every day and will amaze yourself. You go girl!

@AnnofB, You know that I always like your lineup of DVDs that you are using. Awesome! Our plans to visit son and DIL had to be postponed on their end, but we are still hopeful it will work out sometime this month.

    Walk strong!
