Hey peeps!
Had a great week with macros & exercise. This week I'm focusing on increasing & hitting my protein target. I'm also planning to add some strength training to my workouts. I've been putting on a music playlist & running the 1st 1.5-2 minutes of each song. I found it a fun way to gradually increase the intensity of my workouts.

My new goal has to be, plan my keto meals in advance, and on a tight budget. I'm working every single day to reach a financial goal and keto has been on the back burner =\ I'm afraid to even weigh in now cuz I know I haven't done right!2

Hi everyone! I started on the 1st, but didn't read about this challenge until now. My goal for my first time eating ketogenic is at least 10 pounds for the month.

I ended up getting sick the week of the 8th. I thought it was keto-flu at first. Then realized it was the real flu by the end of the week. I'm still not completely up to par. My weight has been stalled. I did lose 1 more pound, but gained it back. I took Dayquil so I could function at work. I still kept strictly keto except for one day when I broke down and ate Campbell's chicken and rice soup. Blech! The rice was not good! Today was the first day I didn't take Dayquil, so hopefully I'll be back in ketosis soon. Good luck to everyone on this journey!

Thank you! I am a bit better each day!0 -
Time for weigh in........ I've managed to loose a pound but it hasn't come off easily I've gained and lost that pound most of the week, no idea why, but even if it's back tomorrow it's off today! Also just to prove I'm stupid/obsessed/determined (choose the best word!) those scales are coming with me next week as I am away for two weeks!

Getting motivated for the week ahead. Planning meals. Researching recipes. Thinking about ways to remain focused when those snacking carb Sirens beckon from the kitchen around 10pm. This is what I am thinking about today. Also, making true efforts to drink more water.
Thank you Chinatownchina for all of the support that you give here to everyone. You will break through that pesky pound. It will happen once you put your mind to it! It will.
Hey Jiggypuff - I've had a nasty flu, as well. Glad that you are better - not fun at all!
Everyone - stay well!3 -
valleygirl74: well done; you lost that damn weight from last week and a bit more!0

Just a bit of movement, but in the right direction so I'll take it!
My birthday is on Thursday, and we're getting a puppy next weekend. Looking forward to long walks with the squirt.

WTG Chinatown! A pound is great! I lost a pound too, but gained it back the next day! LOL!
So, I bought a new scale. My old scale is one of those old school ones with the weight increments in 20 pounds showing up in big numbers, then these little itty bitty lines to mark between the numbers. I went to the doctors for my cold/flu and on their scale, I was over 221! So that meant my scale was off by at least 5-7 pounds! So I bought a new digital scale. And had to edit my numbers. So...my new numbers are (Keep in mind I have to estimate what my actual starting weight was and each other weigh-in until today):
10/1: 227 Est
10/8: 223 Est
10/15: 219 Est
10/22: 217.4 Actual
I'm disappointed I'm that much further away from my initial goal of getting below 200 pounds by the end of the year. But at least I'll know when I do arrive there, it'd be for real! And it's gonna happen!! Have a wonderful week everyone!!

My dear husband bought me new scales as he referred to the last ones as a 'random number generator'. As soon as I weighed myself I was 5lbs heavier! Also I swear the doctors deliberately keep their scales wrong and not in a good way/weigh!! The ones I have now I just accept so that in the back of my mind I have the hope I am really 5lbs lighter than they actually show. That's the hope anyhow!!
Also under 200 by the end of the year is something you will achieve, plenty time for that to happen, just keep on going!2 -
Thanks NikkiJRM! Happy Birthday on Thursday! Enjoy the day and your new little pup!1

See, called it! Up 2lbs this week but still down for the month overall. I'd love to see the scale woosh again next week.2
