Rocky had a rough couple of days. Really sore this morning. But his spirits are a little higher. It will be some time before he can swallow much more than soft foods. Like baby food soft!

I have been really busy with him. Trying to get everything done around the house and keep the yard work up also. I do not want him to over exert himself.

Shelley, I did the same thing when Pat had his hips then his back done. Guys are so silly. Your birthday is coming up...what are your plans? It's going to be a fabulous day for you!!

I started October at 146.6 then this morning...dun...dun...dun...145.0. If only it stays there! We'll see.

191.2 this morning. I didn't maintain 189 but I know I will get back there. Still very busy and dealing with my niece and friends health issues. I need to eat better and find time to exercise other than tennis. Going back to arms challenge to start.

October will still be busy at work but maybe not crazy busy! :) I have vacation planed with Ron the second week of November but I'm wavering on taking it...but I really need it and I don't want to disappoint him. We will see...

I'm glad everyone is doing well. Take care of yourselves and your love ones.

Kathy, take the vacation. You need to rest and recharge. No one ever said on their deathbed “I wish I had worked more”
My new longer commute hinders my workout a bit. But I am getting home too late for cocktails so saving calories there!

Chris that is amazing. You are so inspirational to me. :) I did have a great birthday even with Rocky not feeling himself. My coworker and I have the same birthday. He bought pizza to go with the cake I baked. Then I ordered two fancy African gumdrop Crouchers and a pink aquacultures coral. I used the money my mom sent me. These fish are small and live in coral or rocks and are pink and small. They aso are a little poisonous. They are in the observation tank with my rescue fish.

Kathy I remember when you bounced around 200. Then under it all the time. This is the same. <3 Take the vacation and regenerate. Just stay away from crowds. <3 Eating well is the road to success. I had based fish and broccoli for dinner. And only one cookie for dessert. Yay me. Clara is right.

Clara how is everything? Sorry about that commute. Is it permanent? Are things getting back to normal?

My mom is in the hospital. She just does not take care of herself. :'(

Shelly, hope your mom gets better.
My commute is temporary while my Library is being repaired from the Hurricane Harvey flooding. It will take 4 to 6 months to get the AC rebuild and we also need sheetrock, flooring, books etc. But I’m running a beautiful smaller Library in a small town. Happy to have a new place to keep me busy! Our communities are rebuilding here in Texas, it just takes time.
I am eating less and hoping to see some results when I weigh in on Monday

Shelley, hope your mom is doing better, too.

Thanks, Shelley and you are an inspiration to me!! Sounds like you're happy with your little poisonous AGC's <3

Clara the 'eating less' thing is what I've been trying to do. It's hard for someone (me) who can eat continuously all day long...

144.6 this morning at 5:00. We got to walk and then I worked out with our trainer for an hour. It has been a good Saturday morning. We will go get Bean in a while for a Puppy Afternoon of Play and Puppy Treats.

Shelley, do you have snow? asks the California Girl looking forward to an 84 degree day.
I hope your house didn't get too damaged.

    143.8 again this morning...happy!

Have the boys today starting at 6:30. Probably a short walk and some playground time. Must go to the grocery store today. Must make soup. A wee bit tired when Ronan and Bean are picked up. Sort of just want to sit and do nothing but cupboards are bare... :D

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Yes, heavy snow fell. Leaves were still on the trees. So lots of snow weighing heavily on the branches. When the leaves have fallen there is limited snow that can build up. But with leaves still on the trees the snow is trapped. Causing broken branches in trees. This branch was huge. Mostly melting away now. I like the changing seasons though. Keeps it interesting.

I saw on the news about a community there burned to the ground. That is terrible.

Nice weight Chris. And bare cupboards will keep it down. Hope you had a great walk.

143.0 ...maybe?? This would make me very happy. We'll see tomorrow if it holds.

Thanks, Shelley. It didn't take this long to go form 142 to 150 but it's taking forever to get back down.

    Walking now...

    Hey kiddos!

I turned 65 a few weeks ago and am now allowed to call you "kiddos"!

Was wondering why I'm so tired, then realized it's one am lol. :ohwell:

Returned from absentia. Sorry to be MIA but our computers got hacked and have been in shop for the last more-than-a-week. :( Thank you for the messages. <3<3

Bouncing around 162, very happy with that but looking to dropping another 5 on eventual way to 145-155 ideal range. Bariatric support group had plastic surgery presentation about excess skin removal (is that gross?) - wish-a wish-a wish-a wish but too $$$ and no time.

Are you thinking of joining Ilvermorny again this semester? Signups have started. But Dapperwulf is gone (he's having a complicated life right now) and Dory has taken over Wampus. I liked her a lot as a student but now everything just feels different.

Will come back later and catch up with reading whatcha've been up to. For now =

    Later gators!
    Your Paula :)

Hey, Hey, PAULA!!!! :p So glad you are back. Sorry about your computer. Bad stuff. Don't know if I want to do another round of llvermony. It's a ton of work and time and I'm pretty booked up here with Ronan and Bean. I would hate to commit and not be able to follow through.

143.8 this morning. Hard workout yesterday is to blame. Our trainer had to cancel this morning's workout. Hoping DDD wants to do some yoga with me. Walking w/DH this morning. Then...a three year old's b'day party! EAT CAKE!!!

    Have a great Saturday everyone!!

Shelley, it's a new day and you will get back to it when your ready. I'm going to workout w/DDD this morning too! So cool!!

143.2 this morning at 6:00. Slept in an hour. This may not hold for tomorrow. We'll just have to wait and see...Walking w/DH in a bit then yoga w/DDD then Ronan and Bean for a few hours while the kids get some chores done.

B'day party was really cute yesterday. All dinosaurs and dino digs for the kids and Mexican food that looked wonderful. I didn't have anything. I ate before we went and took my citrus water with me. Drank three 24 ounce servings. I'm pretty proud of myself.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday. Off into the cold, cold morning for us!

Good job, :innocent: Chris! I'm proud of you too!

And :naughty: Shell - every day we start all over, right?  STRENGTH!

I made a new meatloaf (which is good) but used too much filler (starch) which is bad. So when I try to eat what is good for me, it is not good for me. Debated throwing out a week's worth of food; but decided to use the meatloaf as a semi-healthy side dish instead. 162 yesterday 163 today - a normal bounce.

    Take care amigas!

Tomorrow makes seven years since we lost Nick. We will spend most of the day together. We used to go to BJ's to celebrate his memory, but DH can't eat anything there...too much sodium...so we'll do salad here. There will be ice cream and pound cake, but everyone is being mindful of what they are eating. It will be a good day. I think about what he would be doing now...he'd be a math teacher. Maybe a music teacher. He'd already decided on that.

DH and I will walk in the morning then I'll shop for salad. We'll meet the kids at Nick's niche and change up his flowers then come back here.

I love you guys! Thank you for being here.

He could have taught both. Are there any other teachers in the family? I think it is good that you celebrate his life each year. That is a really touching. I had never thought about doing anything like it for those that I have lost. Hugs to you all. :)

    Shelley

Oh, I was up a little. 150 again. No more cake! :s

I think it’s nice that you celebrate Nick’s life too. There is a Jewish custom of going to the grave and putting stones on the grave once a year. In New Orleans everyone used to go to tidy up the families graves and put new flowers on All Saints Day (November 1) this practice has kinda died out. I think I’m going to call my aunt and see if we can go put flowers on Uncle Frank’s grave.
    130.6 again so I maintained.

Thanks, Shelley. Yeah, I think he would have taught both. And, Yes, Sara teaches 1st grade. This is her 10th year teaching. She's taught 5th and Kinder. She might go to 2nd grade next year.

143.6 this morning at 5:00. I'll take it. It's cold this morning, but we'll go out in it anyway.

Have a great Monday, my friends.

    Chris
